शोलवती होती है। यह मत वास्तविकता के बहुत नजदीक लगता है। लेकिन कल्याण वर्मा की 'सारावली' में यह वर्णन है कि स्त्री साधारण खानदान की तथा झगड़ालू होती है, और साथ में यह भी लिखा है कि वह बुद्धिमान होती है। यह मत कुछ ठीक प्रतीत नहीं होता। सातवाँ घर पति या पत्नी का घर है। यहाँ बुध जो शुक्र और बृहस्पति दोनों के प्रभाव में है, स्त्री पक्ष की चीजों के बारे में वह कोई इस तरह का फल दे यह ठीक नहीं लगता। ज्योतिष के पितामह महर्षि पाराशर का मत है कि यहाँ बुध होने से व्यक्ति लड़ाई-झगड़े, वाद-रिवाद में पराजित होने वाला तथा वेश्यागामी होता है। मेरे देखने में यहाँ बुध होने से इस प्रकार के फल नहीं मिलते। यहाँ बैठा हुआ बुध जो लग्नेश है जो ज्ञान के दाता बृहस्पति से प्रभावित है और शुभग्रह शुक्र का असर रखता है, इसलिए ऐसे व्यक्ति का वाद-विवाद में पराजित होना संभव नहीं लगता। शायद वेश्यागामी इसलिए कहा गया है कि सातवें घर में बुध काल-पुरुष कुंडली के अनुसार शुक्र ग्रह की राशि में है, इसका यह हेतु हो सकता है। संभवतः इसी कारण से कुछ ज्योतिषियों ने एक से ज्यादा शादियाँ होने का वर्णन भी किया है, जो वास्तव में बहुत कम संख्या में देखने में आता है। कश्मीर प्रांत के पुराने ज्योतिषी जयदेव ने अपने जातक चंद्रिका नामक ग्रंथ में लिखा है कि ऐसा व्यक्ति धर्म को जानने वाला तथा स्त्री-सुख से युक्त होता है। यहाँ धर्म को जानने या विश्वास रखने वाला होना काफी हद तक ठीक लगता है। क्योंकि यहाँ पर बैठे हुए बुध को, जो एक तरह का व्यापारी या हिसाब-किताब करने वाला व्यक्ति है, वह बृहस्पति के प्रभाव के कारण संजीदा हो जाता है और उसमें किसी-न-किसी रूप में ज्ञान की गहराई उत्पन्न होने की संभावना बहुत हद तक बढ़ जाती है। यवन मत के अनुसार भी यहाँ बुध होने से व्यक्ति में मांत्रिक रुचियाँ होती हैं। मांत्रिक से मतलब है, मंत्रों का जाप यहाँ बुष होने से व्यक्ति खरीद और बिक्री आदि के काम तथा साझेदारी के काम से लाभ प्राप्त करता है। मेरे देखने में आया है कि यहाँ बुध होने से व्यक्ति अच्छा शिक्षक, प्राध्यापक, वकील व प्रकाशन के काम से संबंधित पुस्तक विक्रेता या कंप्यूटर आदि के कामों में सफलता प्राप्त कर सकता है। इसके अलावा बहुत से चार्टर्ड एकाउन्टैन्ट्स की कुंडलियों में बुध सातवें घर में मिलेगा। भारत के सर्वश्रेष्ठ ज्योतिषी के
