ज्योतिषशास्त्र के एक और  प्रसीद सर्वश्रेष्ठ ज्योतिषी के अनुसार कि चौथे घर में शुक्र होने से वाहन सुख प्राप्त होता है। श्री कल्याण वर्मा का विचार भी लगभग यही है। इस संदर्भ में यह याद रखना जरूरी है कि ये शुभ फल तभी आ सकेंगे जब शुक्र इस घर में अकेला हो। यदि यहाँ शुक्र के साथ शनि हो तो दोनों का फल अशुभ हो जाता है। कुछ हालतों में यह भी देखा गया है कि यदि चौथे घर में शुक्र के साथ शनि हो तो उस व्यक्ति में नशीले पदार्थों के सेवन का खतरा बढ़ जाता है। यदि ध्यान न रखा जाए तो ऐसे व्यक्ति को जीवन भर नशीले पदार्थों से छुटकारा पाना मुश्किल हो जाता है। लाल किताब में कहा गया है कि यदि अकेला शुक्र चौथे घर में हो और कुंडली का दूसरा व सातवाँ घर खाली हो तो उस व्यक्ति को औलाद के बारे में चिंता हो सकती है अथवा संतान प्राप्ति में देर होती है। वास्तव में यह स्थिति तब पैदा होती है जब ऐसा व्यक्ति किसी दूसरी औरत से शारीरिक संबंध रखता हो । शुक्र के इस दोष को दूर करने के लिए जरूरी उपाय यह है कि आडू की गुठली में एक तरफ सुराख करके उसमें सुरमा डालकर बाहर कहीं ऐसी जगह दबाने से जहाँ घास हो, शुक्र का यह अशुभ फल दूर हो जाता है। यह भी कहा गया है कि यदि वह व्यक्ति अपनी ही पत्नी से दोबारा शादी की रस्म करे तो शुक्र का ये अशुभ फल दूर हो सकता है।ज्योतिष के बहुत से प्राचीन ग्रंथों में ये जिक्र आता है कि चौथे घर में शुभ शुक्र के होने से व्यक्ति को सम्मान प्राप्त होता है या वह अपने जीवन में सम्मानित किया जाता है। यह विचार 'कुंडली कल्पतरु' नामक ग्रंथ में स्पष्ट तौर पर प्रकट किया गया है। यही विचार हमारे एक महान् ज्योतिषी नारायण भट्ट ने 'चमत्कार चिंतामणी' में कहा है। यदि हम ध्यान से देखें तो वृष लग्न वालों के लिए यह वर्णन और भी ठीक प्रतीत होता है। क्योंकि वृष लग्न वालों के लिए चौथे घर में सूर्य की राशि आती है। सूर्य सम्मान का कारक है और दूसरा, दसवें घर का भी सम्मान से बहुत नजदीकी संबंध है। सूर्य और शुक्र दोनों की दसवें घर पर दृष्टि होने के कारण व्यक्ति का सम्मानित होना बहुत संगतिपूर्ण लगता है। अशुभ फलों में की भी लाल किताब के अनुसार अब बात की जाए। लाल किताब में कहा गया है कि यदि शुक्र चौथे घर में हो तो मामू परिवार पर या नाना के परिवार पर इसका किसी न किसी रूप में अशुभ असर पड़ता है। इस वर्णन का वास्तव में हेतु यह है कि काल-पुरुष कुंडली में चौथे घर में कर्क राशि आती है जिसका स्वामी चन्द्रमा है। शुक्र चन्द्रमा से शत्रुता करता है इसीलिए चन्द्रमा जो माँ का कारक है उससे संबंधित रिश्तेदारों पर इसका अशुभ प्रभाव पड़ सकता है। शायद यही कारण है कि नाना के घर पर इस तरह के प्रभाव का वर्णन किया गया है। हमारे एक प्राचीन ज्योतिषी वैद्यनाथ ने लिखा है कि चौथे घर में शुक्र होने से वह व्यक्ति अपनी पत्नी के अधीन रहता है। वास्तव में यह विचार पूरी तरह से स्पष्ट नहीं है। पत्नी के अधीन होने के कई कारण हो सकते हैं। जैसे पत्नी के स्वभाव का जरूरत से ज्यादा सख्त होना या पति के स्वभाव का जरूरत से ज्यादा नरम होना या पत्नी की अपनी व उसके परिवार की हैसियत का बहुत अच्छा होना, इस तरह के बहुत से कारण हो सकते हैं। वास्तव में यहाँ शुक्र होने से व्यक्ति अपनी पत्नी के विचारों को मानता है। इस मानने में किसी हद तक उसका अपना लाभ होता है या ऐसा करने से उसे सुख प्राप्त होता है। इस विचार को 'गर्ग सहिता' में अच्छे ढंग से समझाया गया है। गर्ग सहिंता में कहा गया है कि ऐसे व्यक्ति अपनी पत्नी के आश्रय से सुख प्राप्त करते हैं। इससे यह स्पष्ट होता है कि ऐसा व्यक्ति अपनी पत्नी के विचारों से सहमत होकर अपने भाग्य को बढ़ाता है। मेरा अपना विचार है, कि यदि ऐसा व्यक्ति अपनी पत्नी का निरादर करे तो यह उसके अपने भाग्य पर भी किसी न किसी रूप में अशुभ असर करेगा। इस अशुभ असर के कई रूप हो सकते हैं। यहाँ बैठा हुआ शुक्र सिंह राशि का है तथा काल-पुरुष कुंडली के अनुसार चौथे घर में कर्क राशि आती है। अतः यहाँ चन्द्रमा व सूर्य दोनों का संबंध होने से भी शुक्र दोनों ग्रहों से थोड़ा बहुत पीड़ित रहता ही है। अब पत्नी के लिए पति ही उसका सहारा है यदि ऐसा व्यक्ति स्वयं ही पत्नी का निरादर करे तो ये ठीक ही लगता है कि ये बात उसके भाग्य में किसी-न-किसी प्रकार की अड़चन डाल सकती है। देखने में यह भी आता है कि इस घर में यदि शुक्र के साथ चन्द्र भी हो, तो इसका असर यह पड़ता है कि उस व्यक्ति की पत्नी और उसकी माँ के संबंध ठीक नहीं रहते। दूसरे शब्दों में सास और बहु का मतभेद हो सकता है। 'कुंडली कल्पतरु' नामक ग्रंथ में जिक्र आता है कि यहाँ शुक्र होने से उस व्यक्ति को माता का अच्छा सुख मिलता है। यह विचार बहुत हद तक ठीक प्रतीत होता है। इसी विचार को एक प्राचीन ज्योतिषी गोलप ने भी प्रकट किया है। गोलप के विचार के मुताबिक भी ऐसा व्यक्ति माता के सुख से मालामाल होता है। शायद इसका कारण यह है कि शुक्र प्रेम कारक ग्रह है और चौथे घर में बैठा हुआ शुक्र चन्द्र के घर अर्थात् माता के घर होने से माता के प्रेम का कोई अभाव नहीं रहता। कुछ ज्योतिषियों का विचार है कि यदि ऐसा व्यक्ति अपनी माता की पूरी तरह से देखभाल नहीं करता या किसी रूप में उसका निरादर करता है, तो किसी-न-किसी रूप में उसके अपने मन की शांति भंग हो जाती है या उसके जीवन में इस प्रकार की परिस्थितियों पैदा हो जाती हैं जिसके कारण उसका सुख काफी हद तक नष्ट हो जाता है। लाल किताब में कहा गया है, कि चौथे घर में शुक्र होने से उस व्यक्ति के घर की छत की जो हालत होगी उसका पत्नी के स्वास्थ्य से बहुत निकट का संबंध होगा। यदि उसके घर की छत टूटी होगी तो उसकी पत्नी की सेहत भी ठीक नहीं रह सकती। इसो तरह से ही यदि घर में कुआँ हो और उस पर छत हो तो इसका प्रभाव भी बुरा पड़ता है और ऐसी हालत में आदमी पुत्र सुख से वंचित रह जाता है या पुत्र को लेकर किसी-न-किसी प्रकार की चिंता बनी रहती है। चौथे घर में शुक्र के साथ बृहस्पति का होना शुभ फल देता है, किंतु यदि वा व्यक्ति दूसरी औरतों से संबंध रखेगा तो उसका शुभ फल नष्ट हो जाएगा। किसी-न-किसी रूप में इसका प्रभाव उसकी पत्नी की सेहत पर विशेष रूप से पड़ता है। इस स्थान में शुक्र के साथ सूर्य का होना व्यक्ति को सम्मान दिलाने की समभावनाएँ तो पैदा करता है, परंतु जीवन के और पक्षों में कोई विशेष लाभदायक नहीं। इससे सूर्य या शुक्र दोनों में से एक का ही फल अच्छा रह सकता है, यदि सत्रो और औलाद का फल बहुत हद तक शुभ हो तो उसके अपने राजदरबार अर्थात आजीविका पर मंदा प्रभाव पड़ता है। इसके विपरीत यदि उसकी नौकरी या व्यवसाय बहुत शुभ फलदायी हो, तो स्त्री और औलाद के विषय में अशुभता आएगी। लाल किताब में ही कहा गया है, कि यदि चौथे घर में शुक्र के साथ चन्द्रमा हो हो ऐसी हालत में कई बार नशीले पदार्थ आदि की आदत हो सकती है। कुल मिलाकार यहाँ इस युति का फल खराब नहीं होता। इस स्थान में शुक्र के साथ मंगल का होना अच्छा फल नहीं देता। शायद इसका कारण यह है कि काल-पुरुष कुंडली में चौथे घर में कर्क राशि आने के कारण मंगल यहाँ पर नीच हो जाता है और नीच मंगल से शुक्र का संबंध बुरा फल देता है। यह प्रभाव किसी हद तक शुक्र पर भी पड़ता है। कुछ हालातों में उस व्यक्ति की पत्नी को स्त्री रोग होने की संभावना भी रहती है। दूसरे मंगल का यह प्रभाव चौथे घर पर भी पड़ता है जिसके कारण खासतौर पर माता के खानदान के लोगों के लिए अशुभ असर रहता है और साथ ही यह भी कहा गया है कि यहाँ मंगल होने से उस व्यक्ति की साली का हाल भी बहुत अच्छा नहीं रहता। चौथे घर में शुक्र के साथ बुध का होना आमतौर पर शुभ फल देता है। इस युति से उस व्यक्ति का व्यापार अच्छा चलता है और उसके कामकाज में विशेषतौर पर उन्नति होती है। लेकिन एक बात जरूर ध्यान में रखने की है कि यदि उस व्यक्ति के मामा या मौसी आदि उसके काम में हिस्सेदार होंगे तो इसका अशुभ असर होगा। इस अशुभता को दूर करने के लिए दूध का कुंभ स्थापित करना चाहिए है। क्योंकि यहाँ पर शुक्र और शनि दोनों का इस घर में होना अच्छा फल देता है। दोनों का अपना-अपना फल रहता है। शनि किसी-न-किसी रूप में अपने मित्र ग्रह शुक्र को और शुभ कर देता है किंतु चौथे घर में काल-पुरुष कुंडली के अनुसार कर्क राशि आती है। इससे चन्द्रमा किसी हद तक कमजोर हो जाता है। शनि यह नशे का कारक है और चन्द्रमा जो मन का कारक है उसके कमजोर होने के कारण व्यक्ति में नशे की आदत पड़ने का डर रहता है। यहाँ नशे का अर्थ शराब यानी तरल नशे से है, क्योंकि शनि काल-पुरुष कुंडली के अनुसार जल तत्व, कर्क में बैठा है। चौथे घर में शुक्र के साथ राहु का होना अच्छा नहीं माना जाता। और बातों के अलावा चौथा घर ग्रहस्थ सुख व मन की शांति का घर है। जब सुख का कारक शुक्र राहु से दूषित हो जाएगा तो व्यक्ति के सुख व शांति में किसी-न-किसी कारण से बाधा पड़ती है। शुक्र के साथ केतु चौथे घर में हो तो इसका भी अशुभ प्रभाव रहता है जो माता के स्वास्थ्य तथा मामा के खानदान पर खासतौर से पड़ता है। क्योंकि यहाँ केतु कर्क राशि के मालिक चन्द्रमा को ग्रहण लगा देता
