पंचदिवसीय त्योहार दिवाली जल्द ही शुरू होने वाला है, जिसका आरंभ धनतेरस से होता है। वहीं, भाई दूज के साथ इसका समापन होता है। हर साल कार्तिक मास के कृष्ण पक्ष की त्रयोदशी तिथि पर धनतेरस का त्योहार मनाया जाता है। इस दिन धन आगमन और अच्छी सेहत के भगवान धन्वंतरि, माता लक्ष्मी और यक्ष कुबेर देवता की विधि-विधान से पूजा की जाती है। त्रयोदशी का मतलब है १३ गुना बृद्धि होना इसी लिए धनतेरस के दिन खरीदारी करने का भी विशेष महत्व होता है। जिस से आप जो भी शुभ वास्तु सोना, चाँदी, बर्तन, ख़रीदे उसमे तेरह गुना बृद्धि हो जाये इसी लिए इस दिन अशुभ बोलने या कोई भी अशुभ कार्य करने से बचना चाहि। इस दिन भगवान धन्वंतरि की पूजा करने से अरोग्य की प्राप्ति होती है और जीवन में सुख-समृद्धि आती है। ज्योतिषाचार्य भाग्यराज गुप्त जी ( ASTRO Bhagyaraj  Gupt ) ने बताया की इस बार पीतल का बर्तन खरीद कर उसमे काले गुलाब जामुन रखकर घर लेकर आए और धन के देवता यक्ष कुबेर जी को भोग लगाए इस से धन आने के रास्ते खुलेंगे। 

हालांकि, इस बार धनतेरस की तिथि को लेकर असमंजस की स्थिति बनी हुई है कि यह त्योहार 18 को मनाया जाएगा या 19 अक्टूबर को। 

18 अक्टूबर, शनिवार के दिन त्रयोदशी तिथि का आरंभ दोपहर में 12 बजकर 20 मिनट से होगा। वहीं, 19 अक्टूबर, रविवार को दोपहर के 1 बजकर 52 मिनट पर त्रयोदशी तिथि समाप्त होगी। शास्त्रों के अनुसार, जिस दिन प्रदोष काल में कार्तिक कृष्ण त्रयोदशी तिथि लगती है। उसी दिन धनतेरस का त्योहार मनाने की परंपरा है। ऐसे में 18 अक्टूबर के दिन यह त्योहार मनाया जाएगा। वहीं, 19 अक्टूबर को भी त्रयोदशी तिथि व्याप्त हो रही है। ऐसे में जो लोग 18 तारीख को खरीदारी न कर पाएं वे 19 तारीख को दोपहर के 1 बजकर 52 मिनट पर भी खरीदारी कर सकते हैं। यानी इस बार आप धनतेरस 18 और 19 अक्टूबर दो दिन मना सकते हैं।

धन के देवता यक्ष है इनकी पूजा का जो महत्व होता वह दोपहर 12  से 3 के बीच शुभ माना गया है इसी लिए लाभ चौघड़िया में दिन के 1 बजकर 31 मिनट से 2 बजकर 57 मिनट तक का समय बहुत ही शुभ है है जिस से इस समय पूजा करने से लाभ की प्राप्ति होगी।

However, this time there is confusion regarding the date of Dhanteras, whether it will be celebrated on October 18th or 19th.

Trayodashi Tithi will begin at 12:20 pm on Saturday, October 18th. It will end at 1:52 pm on Sunday, October 19th. According to the scriptures, it is traditional to celebrate Dhanteras on the day when Kartik Krishna Trayodashi Tithi falls during Pradosh Kaal. Therefore, the festival will be celebrated on October 18th. Trayodashi Tithi is also falling on October 19th. Therefore, those who are unable to shop on the 18th can do so on the 19th at 1:52 PM. This means that this year, Dhanteras can be celebrated on two days, October 18th and 19th.

Yaksha is the god of wealth. His worship is considered auspicious between 12 and 3 PM. Therefore, the time from 1:31 PM to 2:57 PM in Labh Chaughadiya is considered very auspicious, and worshipping during this time will bring benefits.

Astrologer Bhagyaraj Gupta also said that one should avoid buying a vehicle this time, as it is forbidden to buy a vehicle on Saturday, and since Dhanteras falls on Saturday, buying a vehicle will not bring auspicious results.
