Sharad Purnima:

Sharad Purnima, also known as Kojagiri Purnima, holds immense spiritual significance in Hinduism. It marks the culmination of the monsoon season and is believed to be the only day in the year when the moon shines with all sixteen kalas (phases), radiating divine nectar. This night is dedicated to worshipping Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth and prosperity. Devotees observe a day-long fast and perform special pujas in the evening. A unique ritual involves preparing "kheer" (a sweet rice pudding) and offering it to the moon god. The kheer is then left under the moonlight overnight, as it is believed that the nectar from the moon enhances its medicinal properties. The next day, this blessed kheer is distributed as prasad. People also engage in devotional songs, prayers, and cultural programs throughout the night, celebrating the divine energy of Sharad Purnima. The night is also important for those who wish to improve their health. It is believed that sitting under the moon for a while will help to absorb the beneficial energy of the moon.
