 देवशयनी एकादशी, जिसे हरिशयनी एकादशी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, एक महत्वपूर्ण हिंदू त्योहार है। यह आषाढ़ माह के शुक्ल पक्ष की एकादशी तिथि को मनाया जाता है। इस दिन भगवान विष्णु चार महीने के लिए निद्रा में चले जाते हैं, जिसे चातुर्मास कहा जाता है। इन चार महीनों में कोई भी शुभ कार्य जैसे विवाह, मुंडन, गृह प्रवेश आदि नहीं किए जाते हैं। देवशयनी एकादशी के दिन भगवान विष्णु की पूजा और व्रत करने से व्यक्ति के सभी पाप नष्ट होते हैं और पुण्य की प्राप्ति होती है। यह एकादशी आध्यात्मिक उन्नति और मोक्ष प्राप्ति के लिए भी महत्वपूर्ण मानी जाती है।

Devshayani Ekadashi, also known as Harishayani Ekadashi, is a significant Hindu festival. It is celebrated on the Ekadashi Tithi (eleventh lunar day) of the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) in the month of Ashadha. On this day, Lord Vishnu goes into a four-month sleep, which is called Chaturmas. During these four months, no auspicious activities such as marriages, head-shaving ceremonies, or housewarming ceremonies are performed. By worshipping Lord Vishnu and observing a fast on Devshayani Ekadashi, all the sins of a person are destroyed, and one attains virtue. This Ekadashi is also considered important for spiritual progress and the attainment of Moksha (liberation).
