🌼जब ठाकुर स्वयं गूँगे बालक बनकर आए 🌼
काशी की पावन भूमि पर एक युवा ब्राह्मण रहते थे।
उनका जीवन संसार की गणनाओं से नहीं, केवल श्रीमद्भागवत के प्रेम से चलता था।
दिन हो या रात—घाट की सीढ़ियाँ, गंगा की लहरें और भागवत के श्लोक…
यही उनकी दुनिया थी।
जिस घर में बुलावा आता, वहाँ वे निष्काम भाव से कथा करते,
जो मिला—उसे स्वीकार कर लेते,
और फिर लौटकर घाट पर बैठ जाते,
मानो संसार से उनका कोई लेना-देना ही न हो।
घर वालों को चिंता हुई—
“ऐसा जीवन कैसे चलेगा?”
रीति के अनुसार उनका विवाह कर दिया गया।
संतान भी हुई।
पर ब्राह्मण का प्रेम तो और भी गहरा हो गया—
भागवत अब साधना नहीं, प्राण बन चुकी थी।
घर की जिम्मेदारी बढ़ी,
पर आय वही—अनिश्चित।
तब पत्नी ने स्वयं आगे बढ़कर कहा—
“यदि आज्ञा हो, तो मैं कुछ कार्य कर लूँ।”
ब्राह्मण ने मौन स्वीकृति दे दी।
पत्नी दो-चार घरों में प्रसाद बनाने लगी।
किसी तरह गृहस्थी चलने लगी।
🌿 संतों का आगमन
एक दिन आठ-दस वैष्णव संत काशी पहुँचे।
उन्होंने पूछा—
“किस भक्त के घर ठाकुर का भोग मिलेगा?”
किसी ने उसी ब्राह्मण का पता दे दिया।
संत जब द्वार पर पहुँचे और बोले—
“बिटिया, भूख बहुत लगी है।
यदि संभव हो तो ठाकुर को भोग लगाकर हमें भी प्रसाद करा दो।”
पत्नी का हृदय आनंद से भर गया।
उसने संतों को आसन दिया और रसोई की ओर दौड़ी।
पर…
घर में सामग्री इतनी नहीं थी कि सबका भोग बन सके।
वह बार-बार रसोई और कमरे के बीच जाती रही,
आँखों में विवशता, मन में लज्जा।
संत सब समझ गए।
उठ खड़े हुए और बोले—
“बिटिया, प्रयाग निकलना है।
भोजन फिर कभी होगा।”
संत चले गए…
और पत्नी का धैर्य टूट गया।
🌧️ पत्नी का प्रश्न
वह भागवत पाठ करते पति के पास पहुँची और बोली—
“मैंने कभी आपकी साधना में बाधा नहीं डाली,
पर आज मेरे द्वार से संत भूखे लौट गए।
क्या यही फल है इस भागवत का?”
ब्राह्मण शांत स्वर में बोले—
“मुझे इन शब्दों में स्वयं ठाकुर के दर्शन होते हैं,
मैं उन्हें कैसे छोड़ दूँ?”
पर आज पत्नी का हृदय आहत था।
वह बोली—
“आज निर्णय करो—भागवत या हम।”
ब्राह्मण बिना कुछ कहे
घर छोड़कर घाट की ओर चले गए।
🌟 रहस्यमय अतिथि
उसी दिन द्वार पर एक बालक आया—
सिर पर टोकरी,
मुख पर मौन।
उसने इशारे से लिखने को कहा।
टोकरी खुली—
हीरे, मणियाँ, रत्न…
पत्नी की आँखें विस्मय से भर गईं।
और उसी क्षण—
बालक अदृश्य हो गया।
🦚 पहचान
जब ब्राह्मण लौटे और सब सुना,
तो काग़ज़ खाली हो चुका था।
पत्नी ने कहा—
“वह पीताम्बर पहने था,
मोरपंख,
और वैजयंती माला…”
ब्राह्मण काँप उठा।
उसने भागवत खोली और श्लोक पढ़ा।
पत्नी बोली—
“हाँ! बिल्कुल वही रूप था।”
ब्राह्मण की आँखों से आँसू बह निकले—
“वह कोई और नहीं…
साक्षात् ठाकुर स्वयं थे।”
🌺 निष्काम भक्ति का फल
इस तरह प्रभु ने दिखा दिया—
जो भक्ति निष्काम होती है,
उसका पारिश्रमिक
भगवान स्वयं देने आते हैं

🌼 When the Lord Himself Came as a Mute Child 🌼
On the sacred land of Kashi lived a young Brahmin.
His life was not guided by worldly calculations, but moved solely by love for the Shrimad Bhagavat.
Day or night—
the steps of the ghats, the waves of the Ganga, and the verses of the Bhagavat…
this alone was his world.
Whichever house invited him, he narrated the sacred story with complete selflessness.
Whatever he received, he accepted without attachment,
and then returned to sit on the ghat,
as if he had nothing to do with the world at all.
His family grew worried—
“How will such a life go on?”
Following tradition, they arranged his marriage.
A child was born as well.
But the Brahmin’s love only deepened—
the Bhagavat was no longer a practice; it had become his very breath.
Household responsibilities increased,
but income remained the same—uncertain.
Then his wife herself stepped forward and said,
“If you permit, I will take up some work.”
The Brahmin silently agreed.
The wife began preparing offerings (prasād) in a few homes.
Somehow, the household started running.
🌿 The Arrival of Saints
One day, eight to ten Vaishnava saints arrived in Kashi.
They asked,
“At which devotee’s home will the Lord be offered food today?”
Someone gave them the address of that very Brahmin.
When the saints reached the door, they said,
“Daughter, we are very hungry.
If possible, offer food to the Lord and serve us prasād as well.”
The wife’s heart filled with joy.
She offered the saints seats and rushed to the kitchen.
But…
there was not enough material in the house to prepare food for everyone.
She kept going back and forth between the kitchen and the room,
helplessness in her eyes, embarrassment in her heart.
The saints understood everything.
They stood up and said,
“Daughter, we must leave for Prayag.
We shall eat another time.”
The saints departed…
and the wife’s patience broke.
🌧️ The Wife’s Question
She went to her husband, who was reciting the Bhagavat, and said,
“I have never disturbed your spiritual practice,
but today saints returned hungry from my doorstep.
Is this the result of this Bhagavat?”
The Brahmin replied calmly,
“In your very words, I behold the Lord Himself.
How can I abandon Him?”
But today, the wife’s heart was deeply hurt.
She said,
“Decide today—
the Bhagavat or us.”
Without saying a word,
the Brahmin left the house and walked toward the ghat.
🌟 The Mysterious Guest
That very day, a young boy came to the door—
a basket on his head,
silence on his lips.
The basket was opened—
diamonds, gems, precious jewels…
The wife’s eyes filled with astonishment.
And in that very moment—
the boy disappeared.
🦚 Recognition
When the Brahmin returned and heard everything,
the paper had become blank.
The wife said,
“He was wearing yellow garments,
a peacock feather,
and a Vaijayanti garland…”
The Brahmin trembled.
He opened the Bhagavat and read a verse.
The wife exclaimed,
“Yes! That was exactly the same form.”
Tears flowed from the Brahmin’s eyes—
“He was no one else…
He was the Lord Himself.”
🌺 The Fruit of Selfless Devotion
Thus, the Lord showed—
when devotion is selfless,
its reward
God Himself comes to give.
