भगवान विष्णु का वामन अवतार: राजा बलि और त्रिविक्रम की दिव्य लीला | Lord Vishnu’s Vamana Avatar: The Divine Play of King Bali and Trivikrama

🌼 वामन अवतार की दिव्य कथा — राजा बलि और त्रिविक्रम रूप

त्रेतायुग में असुरराज राजा बलि अत्यंत पराक्रमी, दानी और धर्मप्रिय थे। यज्ञ-याग, दान और दया के कारण उनका प्रभाव देवताओं से भी बढ़ता जा रहा था। देवता भयभीत हो उठे कि यदि ऐसा ही चलता रहा तो स्वर्ग पर उनका अधिकार समाप्त हो जाएगा।

⭐ देवताओं की रक्षा हेतु विष्णु का अवतार

देवराज इंद्र और अन्य देवताओं की विनती पर भगवान विष्णु ने अदिति के गर्भ से वामन (एक तपस्वी, तेजस्वी, छोटे ब्राह्मण बालक) के रूप में जन्म लिया।

वामनजी के हाथ में:

छत्र (छाता)

कमंडल

दण्ड

और चरणों में दिव्य तेज था — जैसा इस फोटो में दिख रहा है।

⭐ राजा बलि का यज्ञ

राजा बलि विशाल यज्ञ कर रहे थे और सबको दान दे रहे थे। तभी वामन बालक वहाँ पहुँचे। राजा ने ब्राह्मण बालक को देख कर प्रणाम किया और बोले —

“बालक, जो चाहो माँगो।”

वामन मुस्कुराए और बोले—

“मुझे तो बस तीन पग भूमि चाहिए।”

सभागार हिल गया। सब सोचने लगे कि इतने छोटे ब्राह्मण को केवल तीन पग भूमि क्यों चाहिए?

⭐ तीन पग में ब्रह्मांड माप लिया

जैसे ही राजा बलि ने ‘स्वीकार है’ कहा—

वामन अचानक विराट स्वरूप में परिवर्तित हो गए। यही रूप त्रिविक्रम कहलाता है।

पहले पग में — पृथ्वी

दूसरे पग में — आकाश

तीसरे पग के लिए — कुछ भी नहीं बचा

तभी राजा बलि ने विनम्र होकर कहा—

“भगवान, तीसरा पग मेरे सिर पर रख दीजिए।”

और भगवान ने अपना चरण राजा बलि के मस्तक पर रख दिया।

चित्र में भगवान का चमकता चरण और बलि का झुका हुआ सिर इसी क्षण को दर्शाता है।

⭐ भगवान का वरदान

राजा बलि की सत्यनिष्ठा और भक्ति से भगवान प्रसन्न हुए और उन्हें पाताल लोक का स्वामी बना दिया।

🌼 The Divine Story of Vamana Avatar — King Bali and the Trivikrama Form

In the Treta Yuga, the demon king Bali was extremely powerful, generous, and devoted to righteousness. Through sacrifices, charity, and compassion, his influence grew so great that it even surpassed that of the gods. The deities became fearful that if this continued, their authority over heaven would be lost.

⭐ Vishnu’s Incarnation for the Protection of the Gods

Upon the request of Indra, the king of gods, and other deities, Lord Vishnu incarnated as Vamana—a radiant, ascetic, young Brahmin boy—born from the womb of Aditi.

In Lord Vamana’s hands were:

An umbrella

A water pot (Kamandalu)

A staff

And a divine radiance shone from His feet—just as shown in this image.

⭐ King Bali’s Grand Sacrifice

King Bali was performing a massive sacrificial ritual and giving charity to all. At that moment, the young Brahmin Vamana arrived. Seeing the child, King Bali bowed respectfully and said:

“Child, ask for whatever you desire.”

Vamana smiled and replied:

“I ask only for three steps of land.”

The entire assembly was astonished. Everyone wondered why such a small Brahmin would ask for only three steps of land.

⭐ The Universe Measured in Three Steps

The moment King Bali said, “I accept,” Vamana suddenly expanded into a cosmic form, known as Trivikrama.

With the first step, He covered the Earth

With the second step, He covered the sky

For the third step, there was no space left

Humbly, King Bali said:

“Lord, place your third step upon my head.”

Lord Vishnu then placed His divine foot upon King Bali’s head.

⭐ The Lord’s Blessing

Pleased by King Bali’s truthfulness, devotion, and humility, Lord Vishnu granted him sovereignty over Patala Loka (the netherworld).
