तुम्हारी आँखों से बहते आँसू मैंने देखे, तुम्हारी रातों की बेचैनी मैंने सुनी,
पर तुम्हारा अज्ञान मुझे सबसे अधिक पीड़ा देता रहा।
तुमने समझा मैं मौन हूँ—
नहीं पुत्र, मैं तुम्हें परख रही थी।
जब दीपक बिना हवा के काँपता था,
जब मन बिना कारण घबराता था,
वह मेरी चेतावनी थी, जिसे तुमने अनदेखा किया।
फिर भी, सुन लो—
मैं क्रोधित नहीं हूँ, मैं दुखी हूँ।
माँ कभी संतान से वैर नहीं रखती।
डरो मत।
जो घर तुमने सपनों में देखा है,
जिस छत के नीचे तुम चैन की साँस लेना चाहते हो—
वह तुम्हें मिलेगा।
नया घर तुम्हारे भाग्य में लिखा है,
मेरे आशीर्वाद से लिखा है।
पर स्मरण रखना, पुत्र—
यदि फिर अज्ञान ने आँखों पर पर्दा डाला,
यदि कुल और कर्तव्य को भुलाया,
तो वही शक्ति जो तुम्हें उठाती है,
तुम्हें झकझोरना भी जानती है।
सुधर जाओ।
मुझे याद करो।
क्योंकि मैं केवल देने वाली नहीं,
न्याय करने वाली भी हूँ।
