कहा जाता है कि हनुमान जी के उनकी पत्नी के साथ दर्शन करने के बाद घर में चल रहे पति पत्नी के बीच के सारे तनाव खत्म हो जाते हैं।
आंध्रप्रदेश के खम्मम जिले में बना हनुमान जी का यह मंदिर काफी मायनों में खास है। यहां हनुमान जी अपने ब्रह्मचारी रूप में नहीं बल्कि गृहस्थ रूप में अपनी पत्नी सुवर्चला के साथ विराजमान है।
हनुमान जी के सभी भक्त यही मानते आए हैं की वे बाल ब्रह्मचारी थे और वाल्मीकि, कम्भ, सहित किसी भी रामायण और रामचरित मानस में बालाजी के इसी रूप का वर्णन मिलता है। लेकिन पराशर संहिता में हनुमान जी के विवाह का उल्लेख है। इसका सबूत है आंध्र प्रदेश के खम्मम ज़िले में बना एक खास मंदिर जो प्रमाण है हनुमान जी की शादी का।
यह मंदिर याद दिलाता है रामदूत के उस चरित्र का जब उन्हें विवाह के बंधन में बंधना पड़ा था। लेकिन इसका यह अर्थ नहीं कि भगवान हनुमान जी बाल ब्रह्मचारी नहीं थे। पवनपुत्र का विवाह भी हुआ था और वो बाल ब्रह्मचारी भी थे।
कुछ विशेष परिस्थितियों के कारण ही बजरंगबली को सुवर्चला के साथ विवाह बंधन में बंधना पड़ा। दरअसल हनुमान जी ने भगवान सूर्य को अपना गुरु बनाया था।
हनुमान, सूर्य से अपनी शिक्षा ग्रहण कर रहे थे। सूर्य कहीं रुक नहीं सकते थे इसलिए हनुमान जी को सारा दिन भगवान सूर्य के रथ के साथ साथ उड़ना पड़ता और भगवान सूर्य उन्हें तरह-तरह की विद्याओं का ज्ञान देते। लेकिन हनुमान जी को ज्ञान देते समय सूर्य के सामने एक दिन धर्मसंकट खड़ा हो गया।
कुल 9 तरह की विद्या में से हनुमान जी को उनके गुरु ने पांच तरह की विद्या तो सिखा दी लेकिन बची चार तरह की विद्या और ज्ञान ऐसे थे जो केवल किसी विवाहित को ही सिखाए जा सकते थे।
हनुमान जी पूरी शिक्षा लेने का प्रण कर चुके थे और इससे कम पर वो मानने को राजी नहीं थे। इधर भगवान सूर्य के सामने संकट था कि वह धर्म के अनुशासन के कारण किसी अविवाहित को कुछ विशेष विद्याएं नहीं सिखला सकते थे।
ऐसी स्थिति में सूर्य देव ने हनुमान जी को विवाह की सलाह दी। और अपने प्रण को पूरा करने के लिए हनुमान जी भी विवाह सूत्र में बंधकर शिक्षा ग्रहण करने को तैयार हो गए। लेकिन हनुमान जी के लिए दुल्हन कौन हो और कहां से वह मिलेगी इसे लेकर सभी चिंतित थे।
सूर्य देव ने अपनी परम तपस्वी और तेजस्वी पुत्री सुवर्चला को हनुमान जी के साथ शादी के लिए तैयार कर लिया। इसके बाद हनुमान जी ने अपनी शिक्षा पूर्ण की और सुवर्चला सदा के लिए अपनी तपस्या में रत हो गई।
इस तरह हनुमान जी भले ही शादी के बंधन में बंध गए हो लेकिन शारीरिक रूप से वे आज भी एक ब्रह्मचारी ही हैं।
पाराशर संहिता में तो लिखा गया है की खुद सूर्यदेव ने इस शादी पर यह कहा की – यह शादी ब्रह्मांड के कल्याण के लिए ही हुई है और इससे हनुमान जी का ब्रह्मचर्य भी प्रभावित नहीं हुआ।

Rare Photo of Lord Hanuman with His Wife
It is said that after having darshan of Lord Hanuman with his wife, all the tensions between husband and wife in a household are resolved.
The Hanuman temple in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh is quite special in many ways. Here, Lord Hanuman is depicted not in his celibate form but as a householder with his wife Suvarchala.
All devotees of Hanuman have traditionally believed that he was a lifelong celibate, and in Valmiki Ramayana, Kambh, and other versions of Ramcharitmanas, this aspect of Balaji is described. However, the Parashara Samhita mentions the marriage of Hanuman. Evidence of this can be found in a unique temple in Khammam, Andhra Pradesh, which stands as proof of Hanuman Ji’s marriage.
This temple reminds devotees of that character of Ram’s messenger when he had to enter the bond of marriage. But this does not mean that Lord Hanuman was not a lifelong celibate. Even though Pavanputra was married, he remained a celibate in essence.
Due to certain special circumstances, Bajrangbali had to be bound in matrimony with Suvarchala. In fact, Hanuman Ji had made Lord Surya his guru.
Hanuman was receiving his education from Surya. Since Surya could not stop anywhere, Hanuman had to fly alongside the Sun’s chariot all day while learning various arts and sciences from him. However, during the instruction, a dilemma arose for Surya.
Out of the total nine types of knowledge, Hanuman Ji was taught five by his guru, but the remaining four types could only be taught to someone married.
Hanuman Ji was determined to complete his education and would not settle for less. On the other hand, Surya faced a dilemma because, according to dharma, he could not teach certain knowledge to an unmarried person.
In this situation, Surya advised Hanuman Ji to marry. To fulfill his vow and complete his education, Hanuman agreed to enter the bond of marriage. However, the question remained: who would be his bride and where would she come from?
Surya Dev prepared his own highly austere and radiant daughter, Suvarchala, to be married to Hanuman Ji. After this, Hanuman completed his education, and Suvarchala remained devoted to her penance forever.
Thus, even though Hanuman Ji entered the bond of marriage, physically he remains a lifelong celibate.
The Parashara Samhita mentions that Surya Dev himself said about this marriage — it was performed for the welfare of the universe, and it did not affect Hanuman Ji’s celibacy.
