कल्पना कीजिए... कैलाश पर्वत पर भगवान शिव और माता पार्वती का दिव्य संवाद चल रहा है। माता पार्वती बड़े भक्तिभाव से विष्णु सहस्रनाम का पाठ कर रही हैं। तभी भगवान शिव मुस्कुराते हुए कहते हैं, "प्रिय पार्वती, भोजन का समय हो गया है, आओ न!"
लेकिन पार्वती जी कहती हैं, "प्रभु, सहस्रनाम पूरा होने तक इंतजार कीजिए।" शिवजी हंसते हुए बोलते हैं – "हे वरानने! इतने लंबे पाठ की क्या जरूरत? बस 'राम' नाम का जप करो... यह एक नाम विष्णु के हजार नामों के बराबर है!"
और इसी संवाद से निकला यह अमर मंत्र:
श्रीराम
राम रामेति रामेति रमे रामे मनोरमे।
सहस्रनाम तत्तुल्यं रामनाम वरानने|
📖मंत्र का सरल और भावपूर्ण अर्थ:
राम रामेति रामेति – बार-बार "राम... राम..." कहते हुए, जैसे कोई मीठी धुन गुनगुना रहे हों।
रमे रामे मनोरमे – जो इस राम नाम में डूब जाता है, उसका मन आनंद से भर जाता है, जैसे समुद्र में लहरें खेल रही हों!
सहस्रनाम तत्तुल्यं – यह एक छोटा सा "राम" नाम, भगवान विष्णु के पूरे हजार नामों जितना फल देता है।
रामनाम वरानने – हे सुंदर मुख वाली पार्वती! राम नाम सबसे श्रेष्ठ और सरल मार्ग है।
यह मंत्र पद्म पुराण से लिया गया है और राम रक्षा स्तोत्र का भी हिस्सा है। भगवान शिव खुद इस नाम में रमते हैं – तो हम क्यों न रमें?

🕉️That divine Name which is greater than a thousand names🕉️
Imagine this… On Mount Kailash, a divine conversation is taking place between Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Goddess Parvati is devotionally reciting the Vishnu Sahasranama. Seeing this, Lord Shiva smiles and says,
“Beloved Parvati, it is time for our meal. Come now!”
But Parvati replies,
“Lord, please wait until I finish the Sahasranama.”
Shiva laughs gently and says,
“O fair-faced one! Why such a long recitation? Simply chant the name ‘Ram’… This single name is equal to a thousand names of Lord Vishnu!”
From this divine dialogue emerged this immortal mantra:
Shri Ram
Rama Rāmeti Rāmeti, Rame Rāme Manorame
Sahasranāma Tattulyam, Rāmanāma Varānane
📖Simple and heartfelt meaning of the mantra:
Rama Rāmeti Rāmeti – Repeatedly chanting “Ram… Ram…”, like softly humming a sweet melody.
Rame Rāme Manorame – One who immerses the mind in the name of Ram experiences deep joy, as if playful waves are dancing in an ocean of bliss.
Sahasranāma Tattulyam – This single, simple name “Ram” gives the same merit as chanting the thousand names of Lord Vishnu.
Rāmanāma Varānane – O beautiful-faced Parvati! The name of Ram is the most supreme and easiest path.
This mantra is taken from the Padma Purana and is also a part of the Ram Raksha Stotra. Lord Shiva himself delights in this divine Name—so why shouldn’t we?
