🍁कलाई का उपकार, चूड़ी का अभिमान🍁
एक बार की बात है। महान संत गोस्वामी तुलसीदास जी प्रभु श्रीराम का भजन करते हुए एक नगर के व्यस्त बाज़ार से होकर गुजर रहे थे। उनके मुख पर "श्रीराम... श्रीराम..." का मधुर जाप था और मन पूरी तरह प्रभु की भक्ति में लीन था।
बाज़ार में चारों ओर चहल-पहल थी। कहीं मिठाइयों की दुकानें सजी थीं, तो कहीं कपड़ों और गहनों की। तभी तुलसीदास जी की दृष्टि कुछ महिलाओं पर पड़ी। वे एक चूड़ी की दुकान पर खड़ी थीं।
उनमें से एक महिला ने अभी-अभी रंग-बिरंगी काँच की सुंदर चूड़ियाँ खरीदी थीं। वह बहुत प्रसन्न थी। बार-बार अपनी सहेलियों को हाथ दिखाकर कहती, "देखो, मेरी चूड़ियाँ कितनी सुंदर हैं! इनकी चमक देखो। पूरे बाज़ार में ऐसी चूड़ियाँ किसी के पास नहीं होंगी। बड़ी मुश्किल से मिली हैं और इतने रुपये देकर खरीदी हैं।"
तुलसीदास जी कुछ क्षण रुके, मुस्कुराए और बड़ी विनम्रता से बोले—
"चूड़ी दीनी सेठ ने, तो शोभा बारंबार।
कलाई दीनी करतार ने, उनको दिया बिसार।।"
महिलाएँ यह सुनकर चौंक गईं। वे संत के चरणों में झुक गईं और विनम्रता से बोलीं, "महाराज! कृपया इस दोहे का अर्थ समझाइए।"
तुलसीदास जी बोले, "बेटी! चूड़ियाँ तो दुकानदार ने बेची हैं, इसलिए तुम उनकी इतनी प्रशंसा कर रही हो। लेकिन कभी उस परमात्मा का भी धन्यवाद किया, जिसने तुम्हें यह सुंदर कलाई दी? यदि कलाई ही न होती, तो चूड़ियाँ कहाँ पहनती? यदि हाथ ही न होते, तो इनका सौंदर्य किस काम आता?"
महिलाओं की आँखें नम हो गईं। उन्हें अपनी भूल का एहसास हुआ। उन्होंने हाथ जोड़कर भगवान का स्मरण किया और प्रण लिया कि अब वे केवल वस्तुओं पर ही नहीं, बल्कि उन्हें देने वाले ईश्वर का भी सदैव आभार मानेंगी।
तुलसीदास जी आगे बढ़ गए, लेकिन उनके ये शब्द वहाँ उपस्थित सभी लोगों के हृदय में बस गए।

हम जीवन में घर, धन, कपड़े, गहने, वाहन और अन्य सुख-सुविधाओं के लिए तो प्रसन्न होते हैं, लेकिन उस परमात्मा का धन्यवाद करना भूल जाते हैं जिसने हमें यह अनमोल जीवन, स्वस्थ शरीर, परिवार और सब कुछ दिया है। वस्तुओं से अधिक मूल्यवान उन्हें देने वाला ईश्वर है। इसलिए प्रतिदिन प्रभु का स्मरण करें और कृतज्ञता का भाव रखें। यही सच्चा सुख और सच्ची भक्ति है।

🍁The Benefit of the Wrist, the Pride of the Bangle🍁
Once upon a time, the great saint Goswami Tulsidas was passing through a busy market, singing hymns to Lord Shri Ram. His lips were melodious, chanting "Shri Ram... Shri Ram..." and his mind was completely absorbed in the Lord's devotion.
The market was bustling with activity. Shops were selling sweets, clothes, and jewelry. Just then, Tulsidas's eyes fell on some women. They were standing at a bangle shop.
One of the women had just bought beautiful, colorful glass bangles. She was overjoyed. She repeatedly showed her hands to her friends, saying, "Look, how beautiful my bangles are! Look at their sparkle! No one in the entire market has bangles like these. I found them with great difficulty and paid so much money."
All her words were filled with praise for the bangles. She was so proud of her new item that she didn't notice anything else.
Tulsidas paused for a moment, smiled, and said humbly, "The merchant gave me bangles, and I admired their beauty again and again.
The Creator gave me wrists, and I forgot them."
Tulsidas said, "Daughter! The shopkeeper sold the bangles, that's why you're praising them so much. But have you ever thanked God, who gave you these beautiful wrists? If there were no wrists, how would you wear the bangles? If there were no hands, what use would their beauty be?"
The women's eyes moistened. They realized their mistake. They folded their hands, remembered God, and vowed that now they would always be grateful not only to the items, but also to the God who gave them.
Tulsidas moved on, but his words remained etched in the hearts of everyone present.

We are happy with our homes, wealth, clothes, jewelry, vehicles, and other comforts, but we forget to thank the Almighty who has given us this precious life, a healthy body, a family, and everything else. More valuable than the things themselves is the God who gives them. Therefore, remember the Lord daily and feel grateful. This is true happiness and true devotion.
