प्रातःकाल की स्वर्णिम बेला थी। वृन्दावन का पावन वन उगते सूर्य की कोमल किरणों से आलोकित हो रहा था। मंद-मंद बहती शीतल पवन वातावरण को और भी मनोहर बना रही थी। ऐसे रमणीय समय में नंदलाल श्रीकृष्ण अपने प्रिय सखा-गणों के साथ वन की शोभा का आनंद लेते हुए विहार कर रहे थे।
उसी समय एक नन्हा हिरण का शावक धीरे-धीरे चलता हुआ कान्हा के समीप आ पहुँचा। उसके नेत्रों में भय नहीं, बल्कि अपार विश्वास और स्नेह झलक रहा था। श्रीकृष्ण ने प्रेम से मुस्कुराते हुए वन में खिले रंग-बिरंगे पुष्पों को एकत्र किया और अपने कोमल हाथों से एक सुंदर पुष्पमाला बनाकर उस शावक के गले में पहना दी।
जैसे ही माला उसके गले में सजी, हिरण का बच्चा आनंद से भर उठा। वह शांत भाव से श्रीकृष्ण के मुखकमल को निहारने लगा, मानो उस दिव्य प्रेम को अपने हृदय में संजो लेना चाहता हो।
यह अद्भुत दृश्य देखकर सभी ग्वालबाल आनंदित हो उठे। वृक्षों पर बैठे पक्षी मधुर कलरव करने लगे, मोर हर्ष से अपने पंख फैलाकर नृत्य करने लगे और निकट चरती गौमाताएँ भी वात्सल्य भरी दृष्टि से इस अनुपम लीला का रसपान करने लगीं। ऐसा प्रतीत हो रहा था मानो सम्पूर्ण वृन्दावन स्वयं इस दिव्य मिलन का उत्सव मना रहा हो।
कुछ समय तक श्रीकृष्ण उस नन्हे शावक को स्नेहपूर्वक सहलाते रहे। फिर उसके सिर पर प्रेम से हाथ फेरकर उसे वन की ओर जाने का संकेत दिया। शावक कुछ कदम आगे बढ़ा, फिर पलटकर एक बार श्रीकृष्ण को प्रेमभरी दृष्टि से देखा, मानो मौन होकर उनका आभार व्यक्त कर रहा हो। अगले ही क्षण वह उल्लासपूर्वक वन की हरियाली में दौड़ता हुआ ओझल हो गया।
शिक्षा: यह सुंदर लीला हमें बताती है कि सच्चा प्रेम किसी को अपने अधिकार में बाँधना नहीं, बल्कि प्रेम देकर उसे स्वतंत्रता प्रदान करना है। भगवान श्रीकृष्ण का करुणामय हृदय समस्त प्राणियों के लिए समान रूप से प्रेम, दया और वात्सल्य से भरा है। जहाँ निःस्वार्थ प्रेम, करुणा और सेवा का भाव होता है, वहाँ स्वयं भगवान की कृपा सहज ही प्रकट हो जाती है।

It was the golden hour of dawn. The sacred forest of Vrindavan was illuminated by the gentle rays of the rising sun. A cool, soft breeze made the atmosphere even more enchanting. At this delightful moment, Nandalal Shri Krishna was wandering through the forest with His beloved companions, enjoying its beauty.
Just then, a tiny fawn slowly approached Kanha. Its eyes held no fear; instead, they reflected immense trust and affection. Smiling lovingly, Shri Krishna gathered colorful wildflowers blooming in the forest and, with His tender hands, wove a beautiful garland, placing it around the fawn's neck.
As soon as the garland adorned its neck, the fawn was filled with joy. It gazed calmly at Shri Krishna’s lotus-like face, as if wishing to cherish that divine love within its heart.
Witnessing this wondrous scene, all the cowherd boys were filled with delight. Birds perched on the trees began to chirp melodiously, peacocks spread their feathers and danced in joy, and even the cows grazing nearby gazed on with eyes full of maternal affection, savoring this unique divine play. It seemed as though all of Vrindavan was celebrating this divine union.
For a while, Shri Krishna affectionately caressed the little fawn. Then, gently stroking its head, He signaled it to return to the forest. The fawn took a few steps forward, then turned back to look at Shri Krishna with a loving gaze, as if silently expressing its gratitude. The very next moment, it bounded joyfully into the greenery of the forest and disappeared from sight.
Moral: This beautiful divine pastime teaches us that true love is not about binding someone in possession, but about bestowing freedom through love. Lord Krishna’s compassionate heart is filled equally with love, mercy, and affection for all living beings. Wherever there is selfless love, compassion, and a spirit of service, the grace of the Lord manifests effortlessly. Radhe-Radhe! 🌿🦚🙏
