एक छोटे से गाँव में अर्जुन नाम का युवक रहता था। वह बहुत मेहनती और साहसी था, लेकिन उसके मन में हमेशा एक शिकायत रहती थी। उसे लगता था कि दुनिया ने उसके साथ कभी न्याय नहीं किया। बचपन में उसके पिता बहुत कठोर स्वभाव के थे। छोटी-छोटी गलतियों पर डांट देते, कभी-कभी सख्ती भी कर बैठते। यही कारण था कि अर्जुन के मन में अपने पिता के प्रति गुस्सा भर गया था।
समय बीतता गया। अर्जुन बड़ा हुआ और शहर जाकर नौकरी करने लगा। एक दिन ऑफिस में उसके साथ काम करने वाले एक कर्मचारी ने उसकी मेहनत का श्रेय खुद ले लिया। अर्जुन को बहुत क्रोध आया। उसने ठान लिया कि वह उस व्यक्ति को सबक सिखाएगा। कई दिनों तक उसके मन में बदले की आग जलती रही।
इसी बीच अर्जुन गाँव अपने घर गया। रात को उसने देखा कि उसके बूढ़े पिता खेत से लौट रहे हैं। उम्र के कारण उनके कदम लड़खड़ा रहे थे, लेकिन फिर भी वे परिवार के लिए मेहनत कर रहे थे। अर्जुन चुपचाप उन्हें देखता रहा। तभी उसकी माँ ने मुस्कुराकर कहा, “बेटा, तुम्हारे पिता ने पूरी जिंदगी परिवार के लिए संघर्ष किया है। कभी-कभी इंसान का व्यवहार कठोर हो जाता है, लेकिन उसके इरादे हमेशा बुरे नहीं होते।
माँ की बात अर्जुन के दिल को छू गई। उसे याद आया कि बचपन में जब वह बीमार पड़ता था, तो उसके पिता पूरी रात उसके सिरहाने बैठे रहते थे। स्कूल की फीस भरने के लिए उन्होंने अपनी जरूरतें तक छोड़ दी थीं। अर्जुन को महसूस हुआ कि उसने केवल कठोरता देखी, त्याग नहीं।
अगले दिन ऑफिस लौटते समय उसके मन का गुस्सा शांत हो चुका था। उसने सोचा, “अगर मैं बदले की भावना रखूँगा, तो मैं भी वही बन जाऊँगा जिससे मुझे शिकायत है।” उसने अपने सहकर्मी से बदला लेने की बजाय अपने काम से खुद को साबित करने का निर्णय लिया।
कुछ महीनों बाद अर्जुन की ईमानदारी और मेहनत के कारण उसे प्रमोशन मिला। वही सहकर्मी एक दिन उसके पास आया और बोला, “मैंने तुम्हारे साथ गलत किया था, लेकिन तुमने कभी मेरे खिलाफ कुछ नहीं किया। आज समझ आया कि असली ताकत बदले में नहीं, बल्कि अच्छे संस्कारों में होती है।”
अर्जुन मुस्कुराया। उस दिन उसे समझ आ गया कि इंसान की पहचान उसके धन या शक्ति से नहीं, बल्कि उसके संस्कारों से होती है। अच्छे संस्कार वही दीपक हैं, जो कठिन समय में भी सही रास्ता दिखाते हैं।सीख :

In a small village lived a young man named Arjun. He was hardworking and courageous, but he always carried a complaint in his heart. He felt that the world had never treated him fairly. During his childhood, his father had a very strict nature. He would scold Arjun for even minor mistakes and sometimes be overly harsh. As a result, Arjun developed resentment and anger toward his father.
As time passed, Arjun grew up and moved to the city for a job. One day, a coworker took credit for all the hard work Arjun had done. Arjun was furious. He decided that he would teach that person a lesson. For many days, the fire of revenge burned within him.
Meanwhile, Arjun visited his village home. One night, he saw his elderly father returning from the fields. Because of his age, his steps were unsteady, yet he continued to work hard for the family. The next day, as he returned to the city, the anger in his heart had faded. He thought, “If I hold on to revenge, I will become the very kind of person I complain about.” Instead of taking revenge on his coworker, he decided to prove himself through his dedication and hard work.
A few months later, Arjun was promoted because of his honesty and commitment. One day, the same coworker approached him and said, “I treated you unfairly, yet you never tried to harm me. Today I understand that true strength does not lie in revenge, but in good values and character.”
Arjun smiled. That day, he understood that a person's true identity is not defined by wealth or power, but by their values and character. Good values are like a lamp that continues to guide us on the right path, even during the most difficult times.
