जरा कल्पना कीजिए... यदि पूरी सृष्टि के रचयिता ब्रह्मा जी से कोई पूछ बैठे कि "आप कौन हैं?" तो उनके मन पर क्या बीतेगी? जिस देवता के एक दिन में युगों का समय बीत जाता है, जिसकी रचना में असंख्य लोक और प्राणी बसते हैं, यदि उसी के अस्तित्व पर प्रश्नचिह्न लग जाए तो उसका अहंकार किस तरह चूर-चूर होगा? द्वारका में एक समय ठीक ऐसा ही हुआ था। यह कोई साधारण घटना नहीं थी, बल्कि भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की ऐसी दिव्य लीला थी जिसने ब्रह्मांडों के उस रहस्य को उजागर किया जिसे आज आधुनिक विज्ञान मल्टीवर्स या मल्टी यूनिवर्स कहकर समझने की कोशिश करता है। यह कथा केवल ब्रह्मा जी के अहंकार के टूटने की नहीं, बल्कि उस अनंत सत्य की है जो बताता है कि ईश्वर की सृष्टि हमारी कल्पना से भी कहीं अधिक विशाल और असीम है।
एक समय की बात है। ब्रह्मा जी अपने ब्रह्मलोक में विराजमान थे। उन्होंने असंख्य जीवों, ग्रहों, नक्षत्रों और लोकों की रचना की थी। युगों से वे सृष्टि संचालन का कार्य कर रहे थे। धीरे-धीरे उनके मन में एक सूक्ष्म अहंकार जन्म लेने लगा। यह अहंकार बहुत बड़ा नहीं था, लेकिन इतना अवश्य था कि उन्हें लगने लगा कि इस विशाल सृष्टि में उनके समान कोई दूसरा नहीं है। वे स्वयं को एकमात्र ब्रह्मा और संपूर्ण सृष्टि का अकेला रचयिता समझने लगे। तभी उनके मन में विचार आया कि क्यों न स्वयं भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के पास जाकर अपने स्थान और महत्व की पुष्टि की जाए। यह सोचकर वे तुरंत द्वारका नगरी की ओर प्रस्थान कर गए।
जब ब्रह्मा जी द्वारका पहुंचे तो वहां के वैभव को देखकर भी आश्चर्यचकित रह गए। सोने से सजे महल, चमकते हुए प्रांगण, दिव्य सुगंध और हर ओर गूंजता हुआ श्रीकृष्ण का नाम। वे सीधे राजमहल के द्वार पर पहुंचे और द्वारपाल से बोले, "जाओ, भगवान श्रीकृष्ण से कहो कि ब्रह्मा उनसे मिलने आए हैं।" द्वारपाल ने जाकर श्रीकृष्ण को संदेश सुनाया। लेकिन भीतर से जो उत्तर आया, उसे सुनकर स्वयं ब्रह्मा जी भी स्तब्ध रह गए। श्रीकृष्ण ने मुस्कुराते हुए केवल एक प्रश्न पूछा, "कौन से ब्रह्मा आए हैं?"
यह सुनते ही ब्रह्मा जी के मन में हलचल मच गई। उन्होंने सोचा शायद द्वारपाल ने संदेश ठीक से नहीं पहुंचाया होगा। उन्होंने फिर कहा, "जाकर कहो कि चार मुखों वाले ब्रह्मा आए हैं, जो इस ब्रह्मांड के सृष्टिकर्ता हैं।" द्वारपाल ने फिर वही संदेश भीतर पहुंचाया। इस बार श्रीकृष्ण ने उन्हें अंदर आने की अनुमति दे दी। लेकिन जैसे ही ब्रह्मा जी राजसभा में प्रवेश किए, उनके पैरों तले जमीन खिसक गई। उनके सामने जो दृश्य था, उसे देखकर उनका समस्त अहंकार एक ही क्षण में बिखरने वाला था।
सभा में केवल वे अकेले ब्रह्मा नहीं थे। वहां असंख्य ब्रह्मा उपस्थित थे। किसी के दस मुख थे, किसी के सौ मुख। किसी के एक हजार मुख थे तो किसी के लाखों मुख। कुछ ब्रह्मा इतने विशाल थे कि उनकी दिव्य आभा पूरी सभा को प्रकाशित कर रही थी। हर ब्रह्मा अपने-अपने ब्रह्मांड का स्वामी था। सभी भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के सामने नतमस्तक खड़े थे। यह दृश्य देखकर चार मुखों वाले ब्रह्मा जी के शरीर में कंपन होने लगा। उन्हें पहली बार महसूस हुआ कि जिस पद पर उन्हें इतना गर्व था, वह तो अनंत ब्रह्मांडों में से केवल एक छोटे से ब्रह्मांड का दायित्व मात्र है।
ब्रह्मा जी का सिर झुक गया। उनके भीतर का सारा अहंकार पलभर में समाप्त हो गया। कांपते हुए स्वर में उन्होंने श्रीकृष्ण से पूछा, "प्रभु, यह कैसी लीला है? मैं तो स्वयं को संपूर्ण सृष्टि का एकमात्र ब्रह्मा समझता था।" श्रीकृष्ण मुस्कुराए। उनके चेहरे पर करुणा और ज्ञान की दिव्य आभा थी। उन्होंने कहा, "ब्रह्मा, यह सृष्टि उतनी छोटी नहीं है जितनी तुम समझते हो। अनंत ब्रह्मांड हैं और प्रत्येक ब्रह्मांड का अपना एक ब्रह्मा है। तुम उनमें से केवल एक हो।"
फिर श्रीकृष्ण ने वह महान रहस्य बताया जिसे सुनकर ब्रह्मा जी की आंखें आश्चर्य से फैल गईं। भगवान बोले, "मेरे स्वरूप भी अनेक स्तरों पर कार्य करते हैं। महाविष्णु वह स्वरूप हैं जिनकी एक श्वास से असंख्य ब्रह्मांड उत्पन्न होते हैं और एक श्वास के साथ ही विलीन हो जाते हैं। उन प्रत्येक ब्रह्मांड में गर्भोदकशायी विष्णु प्रवेश करते हैं और वहीं से एक-एक ब्रह्मा की उत्पत्ति होती है। फिर क्षीरोदकशायी विष्णु प्रत्येक जीव के हृदय में परमात्मा बनकर निवास करते हैं। इसलिए मैं केवल एक लोक में नहीं, हर ब्रह्मांड, हर जीव और हर कण में उपस्थित हूं।"
श्रीकृष्ण के मुख से यह दिव्य ज्ञान सुनकर ब्रह्मा जी की आंखों से अश्रुधारा बहने लगी। उन्हें पहली बार समझ आया कि ईश्वर की महिमा का कोई अंत नहीं है। जो स्वयं को महान समझता है, वह वास्तव में ईश्वर की अनंत लीला का एक छोटा सा अंश मात्र है। वे तुरंत श्रीकृष्ण के चरणों में गिर पड़े और बोले, "प्रभु, मुझे क्षमा करें। मैं अपने पद और अपनी शक्ति पर गर्व करने लगा था। आज आपने मुझे मेरा वास्तविक स्थान दिखा दिया।"
भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने प्रेमपूर्वक उन्हें उठाया और कहा, "ब्रह्मा, ज्ञान वहीं जन्म लेता है जहां अहंकार समाप्त होता है। जब तक मनुष्य स्वयं को सबसे बड़ा समझता है, तब तक वह सत्य से दूर रहता है। लेकिन जिस दिन उसका अहंकार टूट जाता है, उसी दिन उसके भीतर वास्तविक ज्ञान का प्रकाश प्रकट होता है।"
उस दिन द्वारका की उस दिव्य सभा में केवल ब्रह्मा जी का अहंकार नहीं टूटा था, बल्कि संसार के लिए एक महान संदेश भी प्रकट हुआ था। यह संदेश था कि ईश्वर की सृष्टि अनंत है, उनकी शक्ति असीम है और उनके सामने सबसे महान व्यक्ति भी एक छोटा सा अंश मात्र है। यही सनातन धर्म का वह गहरा रहस्य है जो हमें सिखाता है कि ब्रह्मांड कितना भी विशाल क्यों न हो, उसके पीछे एक ही परम सत्य कार्य कर रहा है और वह सत्य है भगवान की अनंत लीला। जय श्री कृष्ण। 🙏🚩

Just imagine... What would go through the mind of Lord Brahma—the creator of the entire universe—if someone were to ask him, “Who are you?” How would it feel if the very existence of the deity whose single day spans entire ages, and whose creation contains countless worlds and living beings, were suddenly questioned? How would his pride shatter into pieces?
Once, in Dwaraka, something exactly like this happened. This was no ordinary event; it was one of Lord Krishna’s divine pastimes that revealed a cosmic mystery which modern science today attempts to understand through concepts like the Multiverse or Multiple Universes. This story is not merely about the destruction of Brahma’s pride—it is about an infinite truth that shows how God’s creation is far greater and more boundless than human imagination can comprehend.
Long ago, Lord Brahma was seated in his celestial abode, Brahmaloka. He had created innumerable living beings, planets, stars, and worlds. For ages, he had been carrying out the responsibility of creation. Gradually, a subtle pride began to arise within him. It was not overwhelming, but enough to make him feel that there was no one else like him in the vast creation. He began to see himself as the only Brahma and the sole creator of the entire universe.
One day, he thought, “Why not visit Lord Krishna Himself and confirm my importance and position?” With this thought, he immediately set out for the city of Dwaraka.
When Brahma arrived in Dwaraka, he was astonished by its magnificence. Golden palaces, radiant courtyards, divine fragrances, and everywhere the glorious name of Krishna echoed. He went directly to the royal palace gate and said to the gatekeeper:
"Go and tell Lord Krishna that Brahma has come to meet Him."
The gatekeeper conveyed the message. But the response that came from within left even Brahma stunned.
Lord Krishna smiled and asked only one question:
“Which Brahma has come?”
Hearing this, Brahma was deeply disturbed. He thought perhaps the gatekeeper had not delivered the message correctly. So he clarified:
"Tell Him that the four-headed Brahma, the creator of this universe, has come."
The gatekeeper relayed the message again. This time, Krishna permitted Brahma to enter.
However, the moment Brahma stepped into the royal assembly, the ground seemed to vanish beneath his feet.
What he saw before him was beyond imagination.
He was not the only Brahma present there.
The hall was filled with countless Brahmas. Some had ten heads, some a hundred, some a thousand, and some millions of heads. Certain Brahmas were so vast that their divine radiance illuminated the entire assembly. Each one was the creator and ruler of his own universe. All of them stood humbly before Lord Krishna.
At that moment, the four-headed Brahma began to tremble. For the first time, he realized that the position he had been so proud of was merely the responsibility of a tiny universe among infinite universes.
His head bowed in humility. His pride vanished in an instant.
With a trembling voice, he asked Lord Krishna:
"My Lord, what kind of divine play is this? I believed myself to be the only Brahma in existence."
Krishna smiled. His face shone with compassion and divine wisdom.
He replied:
"Brahma, creation is far greater than you imagine. There are infinite universes, and each universe has its own Brahma. You are only one among them."
Then Krishna revealed an even deeper cosmic secret.
He said:
"My manifestations operate on many levels. Maha-Vishnu is the form from whose single breath countless universes emerge, and with another breath they dissolve. Into each of those universes enters Garbhodakashayi Vishnu, from whom a Brahma is born. Then Kshirodakashayi Vishnu resides within the heart of every living being as the Supersoul. Therefore, I am present not only in one world but in every universe, every living being, and every atom."
Hearing these divine words, tears streamed from Brahma’s eyes.
For the first time, he truly understood that the glory of God has no limit. Anyone who considers himself great is merely a tiny fragment of the Lord’s infinite creation.
Overwhelmed, he fell at Krishna’s feet and said:
"Lord, please forgive me. I had become proud of my position and power. Today You have shown me my true place."
Lord Krishna lovingly lifted him up and said:
"Brahma, true knowledge is born where pride ends. As long as a person believes himself to be the greatest, he remains far from the truth. But the moment his ego is shattered, the light of real wisdom begins to shine within him."
That day, in the divine assembly of Dwaraka, not only was Brahma’s pride broken, but a profound message was revealed to the world:
God’s creation is infinite. His power is limitless. Before Him, even the greatest being is only a tiny part of the whole.
This is one of the deep teachings of Sanatana Dharma—that no matter how vast the cosmos may appear, behind it all operates one Supreme Truth: the eternal and infinite divine play of God.
