जब कौआ बना गरुड़ — और हार गया जिंदगी की बाज़ी
पहाड़ों से घिरे एक सुंदर वन में एक ऊँची चोटी थी, जहाँ एक विशाल और शक्तिशाली गरुड़ रहता था। उसकी तेज़ आँखें, लंबी उड़ान और अद्भुत शक्ति पूरे जंगल में प्रसिद्ध थीं। उसी पहाड़ की तलहटी में एक पुराने बरगद के पेड़ पर एक कौआ अपना छोटा-सा घोंसला बनाकर रहता था।
हर दिन पास के गाँवों से चरवाहे अपनी भेड़-बकरियाँ चराने लाते। उनके साथ छोटे-छोटे मेमने भी आते थे। गरुड़ दूर आसमान से उन पर नजर रखता। जैसे ही उसे मौका मिलता, वह बिजली की गति से नीचे आता, अपने मजबूत पंजों में मेमने को दबोचता और पलभर में आसमान में गायब हो जाता।
कौआ रोज यह दृश्य देखता और मन ही मन गरुड़ की ताकत पर मोहित हो जाता। उसे लगता कि पूरे जंगल में गरुड़ जैसा वीर और महान कोई नहीं। धीरे-धीरे उसके मन में भी वैसा बनने की इच्छा जाग उठी।
एक दिन उसने सोचा,
“गरुड़ भी तो पक्षी है और मैं भी। अगर वह मेमना उठा सकता है, तो मैं क्यों नहीं?”
उस दिन कौआ बड़े उत्साह से आसमान में उड़ गया। वह जितना ऊपर जा सकता था, उड़ता चला गया। नीचे उसे एक छोटा मेमना घास चरता दिखाई दिया। कौए ने गरुड़ की तरह पंख फैलाए और तेज़ी से नीचे की ओर गोता लगाया।
लेकिन गरुड़ जैसी उड़ान भरना आसान नहीं था। कौए को इतनी ऊँचाई से गोता लगाने का अभ्यास नहीं था। तेज हवा के कारण उसका संतुलन बिगड़ गया। वह मेमने तक पहुँचने के बजाय पास की एक कठोर चट्टान से जा टकराया।
टक्कर इतनी भयानक थी कि उसका सिर फूट गया, चोंच टूट गई और पंख घायल हो गए। वह दर्द से तड़पने लगा। कुछ ही देर में उसकी साँसें थम गईं।
ऊपर चोटी पर बैठा गरुड़ यह सब देख रहा था। उसने गहरी साँस लेते हुए कहा,
“हर किसी की अपनी शक्ति, अपनी सीमा और अपनी पहचान होती है। नकल करके कोई महान नहीं बनता।
जंगल के बाकी पक्षियों ने भी उस दिन एक बड़ा सबक सीखा। उन्होंने समझ लिया कि बिना अपनी क्षमता पहचाने किसी की अंधी नकल करना विनाश का कारण बन सकता है।
शिक्षा :
दूसरों की सफलता देखकर केवल उनकी नकल करने से सफलता नहीं मिलती। हर व्यक्ति की अपनी क्षमता, योग्यता और पहचान होती है। विवेकपूर्वक सीखें, लेकिन अपनी मौलिकता कभी न खोएँ।

In a beautiful forest surrounded by mountains, there was a high peak where a mighty and powerful eagle lived. Its sharp eyes, long flights, and incredible strength were famous throughout the forest. At the foot of the mountain, on an old banyan tree, a crow had built a small nest for itself.
Every day, shepherds from nearby villages brought their sheep and goats to graze, along with their little lambs. The eagle would watch them from high in the sky. Whenever it saw an opportunity, it would swoop down at lightning speed, seize a lamb in its strong talons, and disappear into the sky within moments.
The crow watched this scene every day and became fascinated by the eagle's power. It felt that no one in the entire forest was as brave and magnificent as the eagle. Gradually, a desire arose in its heart to become like the eagle.
One day, it thought,
"The eagle is a bird, and so am I. If it can carry away a lamb, why can't I?"
Filled with excitement, the crow flew high into the sky that day. It climbed as high as it could and spotted a small lamb grazing below. Spreading its wings like the eagle, it dived downward at great speed.
But flying like an eagle was not so easy. The crow had never practiced diving from such heights. The strong winds threw it off balance. Instead of reaching the lamb, it crashed into a hard rock nearby.
The collision was so severe that its head split open, its beak broke, and its wings were badly injured. It writhed in pain, and within a short time, its life came to an end.
The eagle, watching from the mountain peak, took a deep breath and said,
The other birds in the forest also learned an important lesson that day. They understood that blindly copying someone without recognizing their own abilities can lead to destruction.
Moral:
Simply imitating others' success will not make you successful. Every person has their own abilities, talents, and unique identity. Learn wisely from others, but never lose your originality.
