‼️काकभुशुण्डि गरुड़ संवाद‼️
संत तुलसीदास ने रामचरण मानस के उत्तर काण्ड में लिखा है कि काकभुशण्डि परमज्ञानी राम भक्त हैं।
जब भगवान राम माता को रावण से बचाने के लिए लंका आए थे, तब रावण के पुत्र मेघनाथ से उनका युद्ध किया था। युद्ध के दौरान एक ऐसा समय आया जब मेघनाथ ने भगवान राम को नागपाश से बांध दिया था।
देवर्षि नारद के कहने पर गरुड़ जो कि सर्वभख्शी थे, जिन्होंने नागपाश के सभी नागों को प्रताड़ित कर भगवान राम को नागों के बंधन से छुटाया, लेकिन वहीं भगवान राम के नागपाश से बंध जाने के कारण गरुड़ को भगवान राम के परमब्रह्म होने पर संदेह हो गया। गरुड़ के इस संदेह को दूर करने के लिए देवर्षि नारद ने गरुड़ को भगवान ब्रह्म जी के पास भेजा, वहीं ब्रह्म जी ने कहा कि तुम्हारा संदेह भगवान शिव दूर सकते है।
वहीं भगवान शिव ने भी गरुड़ को उनका संदेह मिटाने के लिए काकभुशण्डि के पास भेज दिया।
अंत में काकभुशुण्डि जी ने भगवान राम जी के चरित्र पवित्र कथा गरुड़ को सुनाई और गरुड़ के संदेह को दूर किया। भगवान राम के प्रति उनके संदहे को समाप्त करने के बाद काकभुशुण्डि जी ने गरुड़ को स्वयं की कथा सुनाई।
‼️काकभुशुण्डि की कहानी? ‼️
काकभूषुण्डि जी का प्रथम जन्म अयोध्यापुरी में क्षुद्र के घर हुआ, अपने उस जन्म में वह भगवान शिव के बहुत बड़े भक्त थे, किंतु अभिमानपूर्वक अन्य देवताओं की निंदा करते थे। एक बार अयोध्या में अकाल पड़ गया।
उस समय काकभुशुण्डि जी अयोध्या छोड़ उज्जेन चले गए। वहां वह एक दयालु ब्रह्माण की सेवा करने लगे और उनके ही साथ रहने लगे। उन्होंने काकभुशुण्डि को भगवान शिव जी का मंत्र दे दिया। भगवान शिव जी का मंत्र पाकर उसका अभिमान और बढ़ गया और वह भगवान विष्णु से द्रोह करने लगा। उनके गुरू ब्रह्माण ने इस बात से दुखी होकर काकभुशुण्डि को भगवान श्री राम की भक्ति का उपदेश दिया। एक बार उस क्षुद्र ने भगवान शिव के मंदिर में अपने ही गुरू का अपमान कर दिया। जिसके बाद भगवान शिव ने आकाशवाणी कर उसे श्राप दिया और कहा कि हे पापी तूने अपने गुरू का अपमान किया है इसलिए तू सर्प की अधम योनि में चला जा, सर्प योनि के बाद तुझे एक हजार बार अन्य योनियों में जन्म लेना पड़ेगा।
इस क्षुद्र को एक हजार बार जन्म अवश्य ही लेना पडे़गा, किंतु प्रत्येक जन्म में और मरने पर जो कष्ट होता है वो इसे नहीं होगा और ज्ञान भी नहीं मिटेगा।
इसे अपने प्रत्येक जन्म का स्मरण बना रहेगा, जगत में इससे कुछ भी दुर्लभ नहीं होगा, मेरी कृपा से इसे श्री राम के चरणों के प्रति भक्ति भी प्राप्त होगी, इसके बाद उस क्षुद्र ने विध्यांचल में जाकर सर्प योनि प्राप्त की।
कुछ काल बीतने पर उसने उस शरीर को बिना किसी कष्ट के त्याग दिया। वो जब भी कोई भी शरीर त्यागता था उसे बिना किसी कष्ट के त्याग सकता था, अपने प्रत्येक जन्म की याद उसे बनी रहती थी प्रभु श्रीराम के प्रति भक्ति भी उसमें उत्पन्न हो गई थी।
अंतिम जन्म उसने ब्रह्माण का पाया, ब्रह्माण हो जाने पर ज्ञान प्राप्ति के लिए लोमस ऋषि के पास गया। जब लोमस ऋषि उसे ज्ञान देते थे देते थे तो वो उनसे अनेक प्रकार के तर्क-विर्तक करते थे, उसके इस व्यवहार से क्रोधित होकर लोमस ऋृषि ने उसे श्राप दे दिया, कि जा तू चंडाल पक्षी कौआ हो जा।
तब वह तत्काल कौआ बनकर उड़ गया।
श्राप देने के बाद लोमस ऋृषि को अपने इस श्राप पर पश्चताप हुआ और उन्होंने इस कौआ को वापस बुलाकर राम मंत्र दिया। इसी के साथ इच्छा मुक्ति का वरदान भी दिया, कौआ का शरीर पाने पर और भगवान श्री राम का मंत्र मिलने पर उसे अपने कौआ के शरीर से प्यार हो गया, और वह कौआ के रूप में ही रहने लगा, इसी के साथ वह काकभुशुण्डि के नाम से विख्यात हुए।
‼️महाभारत को 16 बार किसने देखा था ? ‼️
वेदों और पुराणों के अनुसार काकभुशुण्डि ने 11 बार रामायण और 16 बार महाभारत देखी हैं।
वह कल्प के अंत तक अपने शाश्वत स्वरूप में जीवित रहेगा, भगवान राम ने ही काकभुशुण्डि को अमर बनाया था। कौए के रूप में अपने एक जन्म के दौरान काकभुशुण्डि की मुलाकात बालक राम से हुई।
प्रभु खेल रहे थे और उसने उसे पकड़ने की कोशिश की। समय आने पर काकभुशुण्डि को भगवान के मुख के दर्शन हुए। अपने मुख में आकाशगंगाओं और ब्रह्मांड को देखने के बाद, काकभुशुण्डि ने भगवान राम से दूर उड़ना बंद कर दिया और उनके पास लौट आए। काकभुशुण्डि ने जगन्नाथ, भगवान राम को न पहचानने के लिए क्षमा मांगी, भगवान ने उन्हें दिव्य मुस्कान दी और काकभुशुण्डि से उनकी इच्छा पूछी, काकभुशुण्डि ने कहा कि वह भगवान राम के प्रति अपनी भक्ति हमेशा-हमेशा के लिए प्रदान करना चाहते हैं। काकभुशुण्डि के प्रेम और समर्पण से प्रसन्न होकर भगवान राम ने उन्हें आशीर्वाद दिया कि काल (समय) काकभुशुण्डि को नहीं मार सकता और वह इस कल्प के अंत तक जीवित रहेंगे। संत द्वारा प्राप्त शाश्वत आनंद को “काकभुशुण्डि समय यात्रा” कहा जाता है।
‼️काकभुशुण्डि अब कहाँ हैं?‼️
वह चला गया और सृष्टि के सत्ताईस चक्रों तक जीवित रहा। उन्हें अमरता का वरदान प्राप्त था, वे कौवे के रूप में जीवित रहे क्योंकि उन्हें भगवान राम के निकट रहने का अवसर मिलता। जब भी, भगवान राम का जन्म होता है, वह अयोध्या जाते हैं और भगवान राम को एक बच्चे के रूप में बड़े होते और खेलते हुए देखते हैं।

‼️ Kakabhushundi-Garuda Dialogue ‼️
Saint Tulsidas has written in the Uttara Kanda of the Ramacharitmanas that Kakabhushundi is a highly enlightened, supreme devotee of Lord Ram.
When Lord Ram came to Lanka to rescue Mother Sita from Ravana, he fought a fierce battle with Ravana’s son, Meghnad. During the war, a moment came when Meghnad bound Lord Ram with the Nagapasha (the serpent noose).
Upon the advice of Devarshi Narada, Garuda—the consumer of serpents—viciously attacked and neutralized all the snakes of the Nagapasha, thereby releasing Lord Ram from his bondage. However, seeing Lord Ram bound by mere serpents caused Garuda to doubt whether Ram was truly the Supreme Brahman (the ultimate God).
To dispel Garuda's doubt, Devarshi Narada sent him to Lord Brahma. Lord Brahma, in turn, stated that only Lord Shiva could clear his doubts. Lord Shiva then directed Garuda to Kakabhushundi to have his skepticism completely erased.
Ultimately, Kakabhushundi Ji narrated the sacred and pure life story of Lord Ram to Garuda, successfully dispelling all his doubts. After restoring Garuda's absolute faith in Lord Ram, Kakabhushundi Ji narrated his own life story to him.
‼️ The Story of Kakabhushundi ‼️
Kakabhushundi Ji’s first birth was in the holy city of Ayodhyapuri into a Shudra (lower-caste) household. In that lifetime, he was a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva, but he arrogantly insulted and criticized other deities. Eventually, a severe famine struck Ayodhya.
Driven by the famine, Kakabhushundi Ji left Ayodhya and moved to Ujjain. There, he began serving a kind-hearted Brahmin and started living with him. The Brahmin initiated him by giving him a sacred mantra of Lord Shiva. After receiving the Shiva mantra, Kakabhushundi's arrogance grew even deeper, and he began harboring malice toward Lord Vishnu. Deeply saddened by this, his Brahmin guru preached to him about the path of devotion (Bhakti) toward Lord Shri Ram.
"O sinner! You have insulted your own guru. Therefore, you shall degrade into the lowly life form of a serpent. Furthermore, after your life as a serpent, you will have to take birth in 1,000 other lower life forms sequentially."
The guru, being immensely compassionate, prayed to Lord Shiva to forgive his disciple. Moved by the guru’s pleas, Lord Shiva’s celestial voice echoed again:
"O Brahmin, my curse cannot go in vain. This sinner will absolutely have to take birth a thousand times. However, he will be spared from the intense agony typically experienced during birth and death, and his consciousness and wisdom will never fade. He will retain the memory of every single past life."
Shiva added that nothing in the world would be unattainable for him, and by divine grace, he would be blessed with pure devotion to the lotus feet of Shri Ram. Following this divine decree, the man went to the Vindhyachal mountains and assumed the form of a serpent.
After some time, he gave up that reptilian body without any pain. From then on, whenever he cast off a physical body, he could do so completely painlessly. He retained memories of all his past lives, and an unshakeable devotion toward Lord Shri Ram blossomed within his soul.
In his final human birth, he was born as a Brahmin. Desiring ultimate spiritual enlightenment, he went to Sage Lomas. However, whenever Sage Lomas tried to impart knowledge to him, he would endlessly argue and debate with the sage. Irritated by this disrespectful behavior, Sage Lomas cursed him saying, "Go! Turn into a Chandala bird—a crow!"
He instantly transformed into a crow and flew away.
Shortly after delivering the curse, Sage Lomas felt deep remorse for his anger. He called the crow back and initiated him with the sacred Ram Mantra. Along with it, he granted him the boon of Ichha-Mukti (the power to choose the moment of his own death/liberation). Upon receiving the crow’s body coupled with the holy mantra of Lord Shri Ram, he fell in love with his crow form and chose to remain in it forever. From then on, he became globally renowned as Kakabhushundi (Kaka meaning crow).
‼️ Who Witnessed the Mahabharata 16 Times? ‼️
According to the Vedas and Puranas, Kakabhushundi has witnessed the Ramayana 11 times and the Mahabharata 16 times.
He is destined to live in his eternal form until the very end of the Kalpa (cosmic age). It was Lord Ram Himself who made Kakabhushundi immortal. During one of his eras living as a crow, Kakabhushundi met Lord Ram when the Lord was still a young child.
The child Ram was playing, and the crow playfully tried to catch Him. In that cosmic moment, Kakabhushundi was pulled close and gazed directly into the Lord's mouth. Upon witnessing the infinite galaxies, star systems, and the entire universe swirling inside the child's mouth, Kakabhushundi stopped flying away from Him and surrendered completely.
Kakabhushundi begged for forgiveness from the Lord of the Universe for failing to recognize Him. The Lord bestowed a divine, benevolent smile upon him and asked him to make a wish. Kakabhushundi requested that he be granted eternal, uninterrupted devotion to Lord Ram for all eternity.
Deeply pleased by his pure love and total surrender, Lord Ram blessed him with a supreme boon: Kala (Time/Death) would have no power over him, and he would remain alive until the end of the Kalpa. The eternal bliss experienced by the saint through this cosmic survival is often referred to as "Kakabhushundi Time Travel."
‼️ Where Is Kakabhushundi Now? ‼️
He has lived through twenty-seven cosmic cycles of creation. Blessed with the boon of immortality, he chose to remain in the form of a crow purely because it allowed him to stay near Lord Ram without drawing unwanted attention.
Whenever Lord Ram incarnates on Earth in any era, Kakabhushundi travels to Ayodhya to watch the Lord grow up as a child and play in the royal courtyards.
