The Secret Box: जब संदूक से निकला भगवान का सबसे बड़ा उपहार! | Miracle of Sant Sewadas Ji.

श्री वृंदावन में एक विरक्त संत रहते थे जिनका नाम था पूज्य श्री सेवादास जी महाराज! श्री सेवादास जी महाराज ने अपने जीवन मे किसी भी वस्तु का संग्रह नही किया। एक लंगोटी, कमंडल, माला और श्री शालिग्राम जी इतना ही साथ रखते थे। एक छोटी सी कुटिया बना रखी थी जिसमे एक बड़ा ही सुंदर संदूक रखा हुआ था। संत जी बहुत कम ही कुटिया के भीतर बैठकर भजन करते थे। अपना अधिकतम समय वृक्ष के नीचे भजन मे व्यतीत करते थे। यदि कोई संत आ जाये तो कुटिया के भीतर उनका आसन लगा देते थे। 

एक समय वहाँ एक बदमाश व्यक्ति आया और उसकी दृष्टि कुटिया के भीतर रखी उस सुंदर संदूक पर पड़ी। उसने सोचा कि अवश्य ही महात्मा को कोई खजाना प्राप्त हुआ होगा जिसे यहाँ छुपा रखा है। महात्मा को धन का क्या काम? अवसर पाते ही इसे चुरा लूँगा।

एक दिन बाबाजी कुटिया के पीछे भजन कर रहे थे। अवसर पाकर उस चोर ने कुटिया के भीतर प्रवेश किया और संदूक को तोड़-मरोड़कर खोला। उस संदूक के भीतर एक और छोटी संदुक रखी थी। चोर ने उस संदूक को भी खोला तब देखा कि उसके भीतर भी एक और छोटी संदूक रखी है। ऐसा करते-करते उसे कई संदूक प्राप्त हुए और अंत मे एक छोटी संदूक उसे प्राप्त हुई। उसने वह संदूक खोली और देखकर बड़ा दु:खी हो गया। उसमें केवल मिट्टी रखी थी। अत्यंत दु:ख में भरकर वह कुटिया के बाहर निकल ही रहा था कि उस समय श्री सेवादास जी वहाँ पर आ गए। 

श्री सेवादास जी ने चोर से कहा - तुम इतने दुखी क्यों हो? 

चोर ने कहा- इतनी सुंदर संदूक मे कोई क्या मिट्टी भरकर रखता है? बड़े अजीब महात्मा हो।

श्री सेवादास जी बोले - अत्यंतर श्रेष्ठ मूल्यवान वस्तु को संदूक मे ही रखना तो उचित है। 

चोर बोला - ये मिट्टी कौन सी मूल्यवान वस्तु है?

बाबा बोले - ये कोई साधारण मिट्टी नही है, यह तो पवित्र श्री वृंदावन रज है। यहाँ की रज के प्रताप से अनेक संतो ने भगवान् श्री कृष्ण को प्राप्त किया है। यह रज प्राप्त करने के लिए देवता भी ललचाते हैं। यहाँ की रज को श्रीकृष्ण के चरणकमलों का स्पर्श प्राप्त है। श्रीकृष्ण ने तो इस रज को अपनी श्रीमुख में रखा है।

चोर को बाबा की बात कुछ अधिक समझ नही आयी और वह कुटिया से बाहर जाने लगा। बाबा ने कहा - सुनो ! इतना कष्ट करके खाली हाथ जा रहे हो, मेहनत का फल भी तो तुम्हें मिलना चाहिए। 

चोर ने कहा - क्यों हँसी मजाक करते हैं, आप के पास देने के लिए है भी क्या ?

श्री सेवादास जी कहने लगे - मेरे पास तो देने के लिए कुछ है नही परंतु इस ब्रज रज में सब कुछ प्रदान करने की सामर्थ्य है। 

चोर बोला - मिट्टी किसी को भला क्या दे सकती है? विश्वास हो तो यह रज स्वयं प्रभु से मिला सकती है। चोरी करना तो तुम्हारा काम धंधा है और महात्मा के यहाँ से खाली हाथ जाएगा तो यह भी ठीक नहीं। जाते-जाते यह प्रसाद लेकर जा। इतना कहकर श्री सेवादास जी ने थोड़ी से ब्रज रज लेकर उसे चोर के माथे पर लगा दिया। माथे पर रज का स्पर्श होते ही वह चोर भाव में भरकर भगवान् के पवित्र नामों का उच्चारण करने लगा - श्रीराधा कृष्ण, केशव, गोविंद गोविंद। 

उसका हृदय निर्मल हो गया और वह महात्मा के चरणों मे गिर गया। महात्मा ने उसे हरिनाम जप और संत सेवा का उपदेश देकर उसका जीवन कृष्णमय बना दिया।

In the holy land of Vrindavan lived an ascetic saint named Pujya Shri Sevadas Ji Maharaj. Throughout his life, Shri Sevadas Ji Maharaj never accumulated any material possessions. He kept with him only a loincloth, a water pot (*kamandal*), a prayer rosary, and his revered Shri Shaligram Ji. He had built a small hut, inside which stood a remarkably beautiful chest. The saint rarely sat inside the hut to perform his devotional singing (*bhajan*); instead, he spent the majority of his time engaged in worship beneath the shade of a tree. If another saint happened to visit, however, he would arrange a seat for them inside the hut.

Once, a rogue arrived in the area, and his gaze fell upon the beautiful chest kept inside the hut. He thought to himself, "Surely, this *Mahatma* (great soul) must have stumbled upon some treasure that he has hidden away here. What use does a saint have for wealth? I shall steal it the moment I find an opportunity."

One day, Babaji was performing his devotional singing behind the hut. Seizing this opportunity, the thief entered the hut and pried open the chest. Inside that chest, he found yet another, smaller chest. The thief opened that one as well, only to discover that it, too, contained another small chest. Proceeding in this manner, he encountered several chests, until finally, he reached the very last, tiny chest. He opened it, and upon seeing its contents, he was overcome with disappointment. Inside, there was nothing but soil. Filled with utter dismay, he was just about to exit the hut when Shri Sevadas Ji arrived on the scene.

Shri Sevadas Ji asked the thief, "Why do you look so distressed?"

The thief replied, "Who on earth would fill such a beautiful chest with mere soil? You are a truly peculiar saint!"

Shri Sevadas Ji smiled and said, "It is only fitting to keep an object of supreme and invaluable worth inside a chest."

The thief retorted, "And what exactly is so 'valuable' about this soil?"

Babaji replied, "This is no ordinary soil; it is the sacred dust (*raj*) of holy Vrindavan. Through the divine power of this very dust, countless saints have attained the realization of Lord Shri Krishna." Even the gods yearn to attain this sacred dust. The dust of this place has been blessed by the touch of Sri Krishna's lotus feet. Indeed, Sri Krishna Himself has held this very dust within His divine mouth.

The thief did not quite grasp the Baba's words and began to make his way out of the hut. The Baba called out, "Listen! You have gone to such trouble, yet you are leaving empty-handed; surely, you deserve to receive the fruit of your labor."

The thief retorted, "Why do you mock me? What is it that you even have to give?"

Sri Sevadas Ji replied, "I, personally, have nothing to offer; however, this sacred dust of Braj possesses the power to bestow absolutely everything."

The thief asked, "What, pray tell, could mere earth possibly give to anyone?" "If you have faith," the Baba replied, "this dust can lead you to a union with the Lord Himself. Stealing may be your trade, but it would not be right for you to leave a saint's abode empty-handed. As you depart, take this *Prasad* with you." Saying this, Sri Sevadas Ji took a pinch of the sacred Braj dust and applied it to the thief's forehead. The very moment the dust touched his forehead, the thief was overcome with divine emotion and began to chant the holy names of the Lord: "Sri Radha Krishna, Keshav, Govinda, Govinda!"

His heart was instantly purified, and he fell at the feet of the saint. The saint then instructed him in the practice of chanting the Lord's names (*Hari-nam*) and serving the saints, thereby transforming his life into one wholly dedicated to Krishna.
