भारत में भविष्य कथन की अनेकों पद्धतियां विद्यमान हैं। इन्हीं पद्धतियों में से एक है मनुष्य के अंगों और उसके लक्षण द्वारा भविष्य कथन करना। इस पद्धति का वर्णन "सामुद्रिक शास्त्र" में आता है।

तिल और उनका फलादेश

नाक फड़कने का राज

अंग शास्त्र जिसे लोग सामुद्रिक शास्त्र भी कहते हैं को शिवपुत्र कार्तिकेय ने लिखा था। कार्तिकेय द्वारा लिखे गए इस शास्त्र में अंगों से फड़कने के कई राज बताए गए हैं। सभी अंगों की तरह ही नाक के फड़कने के भी शुभ और अशुभ फल होते हैं जो निम्न हैं:

दायीं नाक का फड़कना (Right Nose) अंग शास्त्र के अनुसार अगर जातक की दायीं नाक फड़कती है तो उसकी किसी अन्य व्यक्ति से बहस या लड़ाई हो सकती है। लेकिन कुछ ज्योतिषी मानते हैं कि व्यापारी वर्ग के लिए यह एक अच्छा संकेत होता है। उनके अनुसार किसी व्यक्ति की नाक फड़कने पर उसको व्यापार में लाभ होता है।
