चमत्कार चिंतामणी में श्री नारायण भट्ट कहते हैं कि यदि किसी व्यक्ति के पंचम भाव में अपने इस कथन को आगे समझाते हुए उन्होंने वर्णन किया है कि यह ऐसे ही है. जैसे शुक्र न हो तो उस व्यक्ति के पुत्र होते हुए भी उसे पुत्र होने का फल प्राप्त नहीं होता। उस उद्योग का कोई लाभ नहीं जिससे धन की प्राप्ति न हो या ऐसे मंत्र के जाप से क्या काव्य रचना की शक्ति पैदा न हो। दूसरे शब्दों में पाँचवें घर में शुक्र होने से ही वह लाभ, यदि उससे होने वाला फल प्राप्त न हो या ऐसे अध्ययन से क्या अर्थ जिससे कि व्यक्ति अपने पुत्र या पुत्रों से पूरा सुख प्राप्त कर सकता है। यह ठीक बात है कि पंचम भाव में शुक्र औलाद के बारे में शुभ फल देने वाला है। लेकिन वृष लग्न वालों के लिए पंचम भाव में कन्या राशि पडती है और कन्या राशि में शुक्र नीच फल का है। इसलिए पाँचवें भाव में शुक्र के नीच होने से संतान पक्ष में किसी-न-किसी रूप में चिंता रहने की संभावना बनी रहती है। या औलाद के बारे में किसी-न-किसी रूप में कोई चिंता भी उत्पन्न हो सकती है। पाँचवाँ भाव हमारा विद्या भाव भी है इसलिए वृष लग्न वालों के लिए यहाँ शुक्र का होना उस व्यक्ति की विद्या के लिए अच्छा तो है, किंतु यह नहीं कहा जा सकता कि उस व्यक्ति की शिक्षा बहुत ही उच्च्च दर्जे की होगी। हाँ यह बात जरूर ध्यान में रखनी चाहिए कि कन्या राशि में बैठा हुआ शुक्र अर्थात् बुद्धि के कारक ग्रह बुध की राशि में बैठा हुआ शुक्र इस स्थान पर व्यक्ति को चतुर बनाता है और वह बुद्धि द्वारा धन कमाने में सफल हो सकता है। धन कमाने की बात इसलिए कही गई है कि पाँचवें भाव में बैठा हुआ शुक्र अपनी सातवीं दृष्टि से ग्यारहवें घर को देखता है, ग्यारहवाँ घर जो हमारा आय स्थान है। वृष लग्न वालों के लिए ग्यारहवें घर में शुक्र की उच्च राशि पड़ती है इसलिए आमदनी के संदर्भमें शुक्र का पाँचवें घर में होना अच्छा फल ही देता है। इतना जरूर है कि जहाँ शुक्र दूसरे घरों में आराम से धन देने का कारक बनता है वह वृष लग्न वालों के लिए पाँचवें घर में बैठा हुआ जीवन में जद्दोजहद पैदा करता है। लाल किताब के उसूलों के अनुसार पाँचवाँ घर बृहस्पति का पक्का घर है। यहाँ पर जब शुक्र बैठ जाता है तो वह बृहस्पति के फल को कमजोर करता है और इस तरह कुछ हद तक वह स्वयं भी कमजोर हो जाता है। इसलिए कई बार अपनी इच्छानुसार विद्या प्राप्ति में किसी प्रकार की अड़चन आने का अंदेशा बना रहता है। इस स्थान में शुक्र में जो कमजोरी आ जाती है उसको शक्तिशाली करने के लिए यह जरूरी है कि वह व्यक्ति अपने पिता की आज्ञा का पालन करे। यदि ऐसा किया जाए तो बृहस्पति ग्रह जो लाल किताब के अनुसार पिता का कारक है वह खुश होकर शुक्र पर बुरा प्रभाव नहीं डालेगा। परंतु यदि ऐसा व्यक्ति अपने पिता की मर्जी के खिलाफ अपनी शादी करे या प्रेम-विवाह करे तो शुक्र का फल और अशुभ हो जाता है। उसके गृहस्थ सुख में काफी हद तक कमी आने की संभावना बनी रहती है। यहाँ पर गृहस्थ सुख का अर्थ पति तथा पत्नी के आपसी संबंधों से है। ज्योतिष के एक विद्वान् जीवनाथ का मानना है कि शुक्र के इस स्थान पर होने से पुत्र प्राप्ति बहुत जल्दी होती है। लेकिन वृष लग्न के लोगों के लिए कन्या संतान की उत्पत्ति जरूर होती है और उस व्यक्ति की पुत्री जीवन में काफी सफलता प्राप्त करती है। गौरी जातक नामक ग्रंथ में कहा गया है कि यहाँ शुक्र होने से कन्याएँ बहुत होती हैं। बहुत कन्याएँ हों यह बहुत आवश्यक नहीं है। लेकिन कन्या संतान की प्राप्ति का योग जरूर होता है। कुछ ज्योतिषियों का विचार है कि इस भाव में शुक्र होने से पुत्र राजा द्वारा सम्मानित होते हैं। यह मत पुराने ज्योतिषी जागेश्वर का है। अगर ध्यान से देखा जाए तो यहाँ कन्या राशि में बैठा हुआ शुक्र केवल पुत्र के बारे में ही इतना शुभफल दे यह जरूरी नहीं है, बल्कि, यूँ कहना चाहिए कि औलाद के बारे में यह शुक्र अच्छा फल दे सकता है। विशेषकर कन्याओं के लिए इसका फल और भी शुभ हो जाता है। पाँचवाँ घर हमारा प्रेम स्थान भी है। ज्योतिष की सभी पुस्तकों में वर्णन आता है कि यदि सप्तमेश पाँचवें घर में हो तो इससे प्रेम-विवाह होने की संभावना बहुत रहती है। लेकिन पाँचवें घर में शुक्र होने से यह जरूरी नहीं है कि प्रेम-विवाह ही हो, किसी-न-किसी रूप में दूसरी स्त्रियों के साथ संबंध होना या दूसरी स्त्रियों से प्रेम होना संभव हो सकता है। किंतु, लाल किताब के अनुसार यह प्रेम तभी शुभ फल देगा यदि इस प्रेम में दूसरे सभी नजदीकी लोगों के प्रति भी घृणा की भावना न हो। अगर प्रेम-विवाह पिता को नाराज करके किया जाए तो इसको वास्तव में प्रेम नहीं कहा जाएगा, यह एक प्रकार की जिद भी हो सकती है। इसीलिए लाल किताब में इसका अशुभ फल बताया गया है, यदि विवाह माता-पिता की सहमति से न हो। एक पुराने ग्रंथ 'गौरी जातक' में वर्णन है कि शुक्र पंचम वाला व्यक्ति धनी तो होता है, किंतु कीर्ति रहित रहते हैं। कीर्ति रहित होना, किसी और प्राचीन ग्रंथ में नहीं कहा गया। आमतौर पर सभी प्राचीन ज्योतिषियों ने सम्मानित होना या अपने जीवन के दायरे में प्रमुख होना कहा है। मेरा अपना विचार है कि गौरी जातक का यह कहना कि वह व्यक्ति कीर्ति रहित होगा, यह केवल उसी स्थिति में संभव है जब वह व्यक्ति अपने परिवारजनों के विरुद्ध अपनी सामाजिक स्थिति को ध्यान में न रखते हुए, ऐसा विवाह करे जो दूसरों को नाराज कर सकता है।प्रसीद सर्वश्रेष्ठ ज्योतिषी के अनुसार  'दूसरों' से अर्थ पिता व परिवार के अन्य बुजुर्ग लोगों से है वह भी पुरुषों से है क्योंकि पाँचवाँ घर जोकि बृहस्पति का पक्का घर है, इसलिए यह पिता व अन्य बुजुर्ग सदस्यों का कारक होगा। शुक्र के अशुभ फल को दूर करने के लिए गऊ और अपनी माता की सेवा करने से बहुत अच्छा फल मिलता है। लाल किताब में जिक्र आता है कि यदि वह व्यक्ति ऐसा करे तो धन-दौलत की बरकत होगी। साथ में यह भी वर्णन आता है कि यदि वह व्यक्ति अपनी शादी के बाद अपने चाल-चलन का ध्यान न रखे या दूसरी स्त्रियों से संबंध पैदा करे, तो इससे वह व्यक्ति और उसकी पत्नी किसी-न-किसी मुसीबत में उलझे ही रहेंगे। वास्तव में यदि वह व्यक्ति ऐसा करता है तो दूसरे शब्दों में अपनी पत्नी को दुःख पहुंचाता है और इस घर में शुक्र को लाल किताब में कहा गया है कि यह बच्चों से भरा घर-परिवार है। 'बच्चों से भरे घर-परिवार' से अर्थ है कि परिवार में शांति होगी, औलाद अच्छी होगी, घर खुशियों से भरा होगा। यदि चाल-चलन का ध्यान न रखा जाए तो उसकी पत्नी की छोटी-सी नाराजगी, पत्नी शुक्र की कारक है, वह उसके सारे सुख को बरबाद कर देगी। इस घर में शुक्र के साथ बृहस्पति होने से व्यक्ति अपनी योग्यता या विद्या द्वारा धन कमाता है। अपनी औलाद की ओर से भी उसे दौलत का सुख मिलता है, किंतु यदि ऐसा व्यक्ति किसी ऐसी औरत से शारीरिक संबंध रखे जिसकी शादी न हुई हो तो उस व्यक्ति को आर्थिक क्षेत्र तथा पारिवारिक पक्ष से बहुत परेशानी होने की संभावना होती है। इसी घर में शुक्र के साथ सूर्य का होना अशुभ ही रहता है क्योंकि यहाँ काल-पुरुष कुंडली के अनुसार, सूर्य अपनी ही सिंह राशि में शक्तिशाली होने के कारण शुक्र के फल को खराब कर देता है, जिससे पत्नी की सेहत तथा मानसिक शांति पर अशुभ असर पड़ता है। पंचम भाव में शुक्र के साथ चंद्रमा होने से जातक की पत्नी के और माँ के संबंध ज्यादा ठीक नहीं होते। परंतु औलाद की वृद्धि और सुख पर इसका असर ठीक ही रहता है। इस भाव में शुक्र के साथ मंगल होने से स्त्री के स्वास्थ्य पर बुरा प्रभाव पड़ता है। यदि यहाँ पर मंगल और शुक्र राहु या केतु की दृष्टि से दूषित हों तो उस व्यक्ति को बहुत मुसीबतों का सामना करना पड़ता है और कभी-कभी पत्नी को आग लगने का भी डर रहता है। इस घर में शुक्र के साथ बुध होने से परिवार तथा औलाद पर अच्छा असर पड़ता है। किंतु यदि व्यक्ति के घर में जमीन में भट्ठी बना ली जाए तो गृहस्थ-सुख में कमी आने की संभावना रहती है। पंचम भाव में शुक्र के साथ शनि का होना, व्यक्ति के मन में ऐशो-इसरत को भावना पैदा करता है, किंतु यह जरूरी नहीं है कि उसके पास इस इच्छा की पूर्ति के लिए पर्याप्त धन हो। ऐसे व्यक्ति का अपने मकान की मरम्मत तथा मकान आदि बनाने पर जरूरत से ज्यादा खर्च होता रहता है। इस घर में शुक्र के साथ राहु का होना बहुत अशुभ फल देता है। कई बार उस व्यक्ति के पुत्र संतान पैदा नहीं होती और यदि पैदा हो भी जाए, तो उससे सुख नहीं मिलता। जब कभी स्त्री का स्वास्थ्य खराब हो तो उसकी बीमारी का पता लगाना डाक्टरों के लिए मुश्किल होता है। इस घर में शुक्र के साथ केतु का होना अशुभ ही रहता है। इससे व्यक्ति का घर-गृहस्थी पर अनचाहा खर्च होता है। आर्थिक तौर पर भी आमतौर पर इस युति का असर जातक पर अच्छा नहीं होता। ऐसी हालत में घर में चाँदी का ठोस हाथी रखना ग्रहों के बुरे प्रभाव को कुछ हद तक कम कर देता
