Rishi Panchami:

Astrologer Bhagyaraj Gupt extends heartfelt wishes on the auspicious occasion of Rishi Panchami, a day dedicated to honoring the ancient sages and reflecting on knowledge, purity, and spiritual growth, encouraging contemplation on their teachings for a virtuous and harmonious life; this festival primarily venerates the Saptarishis (Vashishta, Kashyapa, Atri, Jamadagni, Gautama, Vishwamitra, and Bharadwaja), with the belief that bathing in the Ganges on this day cleanses sins and brings their blessings; the mythological story recounts how Sumitra and his wife Jayashree, after their death, were reborn as an ox and a bitch and lived with their son Sumati, who, upon realizing their identities and seeking guidance from Rishis, observed the Rishi Panchami fast with devotion, leading to his parents' liberation from their animal births.
